Publisher for the rating looks to be Koch Media (so Deep Silver or THQ Nordic):

It received an M in Australia a few days ago:

and a USK 12 back on June 14th:

I guess this means that we'll most likely see a release date announcement at one of Spike Chunsoft's Anime Expo panels. The Japanese version of the PS4 & PC port's release date is September 4th, so it will either be close to that with the placeholder date of August 28th, or releasing a little bit later imho.

For context, the game is a live action visual novel that was one of the few games to receive a 40/40 from Famitsu back in its original Wii release. Here's the GDC trailer:

I'm excited! I still can't believe it's being released outside of Japan after all these years! I never thought it would.

For context, Deep Silver did PAL publishing duty for the last couple of Atlus titles. I wouldn't be too surprised if they've reached a similar deal for Spike Chunsoft.

Spike will be self-publishing on Steam I suppose?

My interest in the game aside from word of mouth, largely stems from the sequel anime Canaan. Type-Moon had an interesting thing going on here and the protagonist was a fellow Synesthete.

Rated M in Australia? I struggle to think of anything from that game that deserves an M rating. Australia sure is strict with videogames.

That's probably a placeholder cover. At least I hope it is.

Intrigued by this game. Has it aged well enough to be still playable today? Is it a good game, like fun to play, for someone who considered Danganronpa a great game?

In a sense, it hasn't really aged at all, since it's a live-action visual novel with a Zero Escape-ish flowchart. I played it a year and a half ago, and it's weird and ambitious enough to still be interesting, even though it originally came out in 2008.

That's just talking about it conceptually. The plot and sense of humour are both pretty fab too.
