LOL, yeah its never come up because no one knows it exists. Even among my 'gamer' friends, it's not even a blip in the grand scheme of things. But that's message boards in general other then reddit (if that can be considered a message board?)
I have a couple of IRL friends who also post on Era. They joined up here when they were hunting for the SNES Classic and mainly post on the gaming side.
Lmao even if I did I would get a you go to a resetwhata? No way in hell most of the people I know have even heard of this place even amongst the gamers I know.
My brother knows it and I show him funny GIF's from time to time. My best friend knows it too, but I never showed him anything and he doesn't know this site very well.
There's no point in telling people who have no interest in the medium. I mention it sometimes to people who play games. Sometimes they'll know about it, other times they don't (and don't really care).
Two people, one of which was a friend that used GAF, but never jumped over here. The other being my girlfriend who knows of the site just because I use it.
I tell i'm on a forum where lots of curious openminded people from all over the world discuss different topics and i tell them how much i like that and how much i learn from it. Lately some people here seem to be confused and scared though. Humor and freedom of speech are running backwards imo. Not completely but certainly with certain people.
Only one person knows and she has a very low opinion of this place. It doesn't come up in everyday conversation.
Some don't even know what a forum is lol.
The only time I ever heard reset era mentioned was on Kinda funny, they referenced and read people's E3 predictions and discussed them. I have caught people just calling it GAF still on podcasts when the news usually gets posted here first.
I've told only one friend, she also has an account here. But to be honest, most of my friends know my username. So if they're reading Era and see my posts, they probably know it's me.
