Great choice, OP. My personal favourite gaming sound is still the legendary drop sound from Diablo III:
I'm also a big fan of the gold drop sound from the original Diablo:
(I'm not sure if the "item drop sound" accompanied it though. My memory may be failing me, but I remember it just being the tinkling of the gold...)

I like the PS2 startup the most. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome because I played nothing else for 8 years.

See, I never found the PS2 startup all that good. I found it a major step down from the PS1 (which remains my favourite of all time even today.) From that era, I much preferred the Xbox startup:
It's pleasurable from 12 seconds onwards.

Don't agree in the slightest. To this day I feel an echo of anxiety around the 10s mark from all the times I hoped and prayed that the game would load. It's not pleasurable at all.
It's great because the second part is so unexpectedly creepy and low-key in comparison to the first, and both parts are also pretty great in themselves. Wonderful dynamics.
