OK, this is just silly, theme has nothing to do with this game. Also this puzzle game (literally puzzle!) has a bunch of themes associated with it. Like they published the game just to be able to put themes on the store...

Well, let me tell you about an unused concept.
Saw that Shadow of the Colossus Dynamic theme slide show pop up on PSN Japan.
It's one of those series I truly love, and if given the chance, my approach would be different.
I whipped this up in a little under an hour as a feasibility study.
This is super raw, so don't fret about things like camera movement or icon placement. Not really intended as any kind of finished product, but I feel the potential could be pretty awesome. this is running in the theme software, of course :)

Sadly it was a pre-order only at the time and cannot be obtained anymore. Seeing the comments around the internet on how people want it I'm pretty sure that if you did something that looked and sounded similarly, it could sell! (I would buy 3, even if I only have 1 ps4)

Not at present. I'd probably need Era folks to approach me in some sort of formal capacity, since it would require permission. The old ones were a community project at the time.
I think, If I did one, it could be distributed for free, though, which is a nice change from before (previously they wouldn't let us give them away, but that stance changed a year or so ago. ).
Ah ok. I see. Thank you for the reply. I hope you get permission/support to do this because i loved the neogaf themes but want to support era now. I really like the era dark theme on this forum. The purple with the slate grey would look fantastic as a dynamic 4k background imo
hey truant, just wanted to congratulate you for your work, I bought that synthwave bundle, and it looks amazing on my TV, I can't believe that I got a good chunk of themes for a very low Price, and also I appreciate that you included music in the theme, publishers should learn from your job when selling themes

Something I've been working on in secret until now, finally figured out a reliable way to not only have a theme's lighting elements change continuously based on real time of day, but also have it change over the course of the entire year with 'seasons.'
In addition, I'm planning to include individual versions of each season variant with their own ambient audio mix. After reviewing the SDK documentation I've actually figured out a way to squeeze 5.1 audio into the theme package. So each individual season theme will have its own seamless environmental surround sound ambience, including the LFE track.
This is the shit I obsess over in my free time. Seriously.
