Yeah never auto tap if you plan on casting more than one card until your next turn

That's my main issue with it. Bots draft "too clean", sometimes they just lock you into a miserable pile of garbo.Yeah I think Arena isn't for me limited is my jam and drafting against bots takes all the fun out of it.
This is hilariously good tech against my friend's Zur the Enchanter deck and not much else

Saheeli v1 was super nerfed late in development and I'm not surprised they jumped at the chance to do a better version.Estrid looks pretty cool. But otherwise, yeah, nothing too exciting there. Aura tokens are (mostly) new ground.
Kind of weird to see Saheeli in that lineup, though.
XANTCHA FINALLY GOT A CARD! YAY!
I like it a lot. Even from a non-commander standpoint, I think Hydras would be a lot easier to design and a lot easier for new players to understand if they all worked like this.So this card doesn't completely dodge the commander tax, but it's very cleverly constructed in such a way that it's not particularly hampered by it either. I'm not really sure what to think about a card like this especially when printed inside the commander product.
Clearly they see other uses for lands matter, hence retrace. Now whether they cared enough to make it work in the deck is to be seen."Lands matter" is a kinda bad mechanic to design a pre-con around. It wants all 10 fetches by default (because WOTC basically just sees lands mattering as "landfall" zzzzzzzz) and they're not going to include any of them.
Right, but "lands matter" ends up with people putting other Landfall cards in their deck, and stuff like Oracle of Mul Daya, etc. so even if they design around it a little, the most generically powerful stuff is things like Avenger of Zendikar that just do ridiculous shit with land.Clearly they see other uses for lands matter, hence retrace. Oh okay, I see what you mean. Yeah if they wanted to push something other than landfall then they needed to make some new good "land matters" cards for the deck as build-arounds. It is disappointing that most of the commanders for the deck don't really care about lands in an interesting way. Windgrace barely counts.Right, but "lands matter" ends up with people putting other Landfall cards in their deck, and stuff like Oracle of Mul Daya, etc. so even if they design around it a little, the most generically powerful stuff is things like Avenger of Zendikar that just do ridiculous shit with land.
It's because land is a dumb thing to care about. People don't like that because they like Landfall (for some insane reason) but "lands matter" is a mechanic I've never cared for, particularly the two times we were forced to deal with stupid Zendikar.Oh okay, I see what you mean. Yeah this just isn't quite cutting it. Too bad.
the issue is more that you can't interact w/ an opponent's emblem that makes you feel bad.I like Planeswalkers in general but without absolutely absurd self-defense capabilities or things that scale ridiculously well to number of players at the table, they just aren't viable commanders. They're just an overpriced sorcery attached to a global taunt effect.
I'll also note that even as someone with an Atraxa Superfriends deck I have never, ever run into the problem of "lol how do i hold all these emblems". Maybe they're talking about like the instant pop-off Gideon and Sorrin emblems or something, but "I've got a pile of emblems and we're still having something that resembles an actual game" isn't a problem that I've ever witnessed in commander.
