I'm not familiar with this guy (I've heard him mentioned a lot though), but at some point reaching out for connection on the internet can only help so much with mental health. In fact it sounds like posting videos is his coping mechanism, and he should really try a different approach if he's not seeing positive results.

i agree - i think there's something worth discussing when looking at youtubers in general, but boogies case is not even worth the mention. The guy thrives on division and controversy - his contributions amount to nothing really.
It's also his only content that moves the needle and gets him views.

On one hand, thinking pragmatically about this and about him, if he keeps making the videos then they are probably not having a net positive effect on him and he should stop doing this to improve his own situation. On another hand, it might not be really true. But that's not the kind of thinking i want to entertain. On the other hand, there are literally people whose own mental distress is eased by seeing someone acknowledge that their problems are real, that someone else is going through the same thing, that empathy is possible and that sympathy is deserved.
That said, that is the extent of the effort i'll make to understand or help people who are a net negative to social concerns that i'm very much concerned about. So whatever.
