Lol what? I just wanted compare the faces, since it has changed.
But they haven't changed.

You're comparing scenes where MJ is emotional and the muscles in her face are contorting and wrinkling to convey that emotion; versus blank, startled expressions when she is surprised. The emotional expression on her face using the muscle movements involved in creating those expressions that produce wrinkles on the skin aren't shown in those comparisons that only show her in a blank/startled condition.

You are literally comparing emotion to non-emotion:

Damn, I might've actually had some entirely positive things to say about media released for this game, but then that trailer music, whew. TONE IT THE FUCK DOWN

I like how Spider-Man himself looks in these trailers. Graphically, he really pops and feels tangible not quite like anything I've seen before.

So... final bet: Spidermam or God of War, which will be PS4's best selling exclusive this year?

We had a thread about it some weeks ago and Spidey won, but then GOW2018 came and broke literally all records on PS exclusives, becoming the fastest selling PS title ever...

Me: I think both will be 10+ million, but God of War will edge it out... UNLESS Spidey is also 90+ MC. Then it is going to be the best selling PS4 exclusive until TLOU2.
GoW, still not convinced Spider-Man's massive popularity will translate into sales, I still expect it to do 10 million which is comparable to most Sony big games.

Yeah, this is hard to predict. But I think with pretty good reviews this game is going to be massive with quite the legs just because kids are going to want to play it when word of mouth gets around. This is all based on the game being excellent of course.

Honestly, I would bet this game becomes their number one exclusive if they market it right and the reviews are good. A couple things certainly have to happen here to make this big. It won't just bust down doors unless the game is excellent.

I legitimately don't understand the hype surrounding this game at all
It's got an experienced and proven development team behind it and it's gearing up to be the definitive Spider-Man game. The web-swinging seems to have depth to it and gives the player plenty of control. It looks fun to just swing around New York.

Then there's the fact that Insomniac have the freedom to tell their own Spider-Man story without having to worry about tying into a movie or cartoon as was the case with previous games. They seem to be going all out with Spider-Man's rogue gallery too.

Well, it's Spider-Man. From what I know even horrible Homecoming was a blockbuster. In this case, we're getting a big-budget game from a seasoned developer. Add to that an advertising campaign by Sony and Marvel and what you get is a huge level of hype. In this case, pretty justified, it seems to me. I used to read Spider-Man when I was a kid and I'm really looking forward to swinging through New York (BTW, Spider-Man it was one of the first two American comic books that were published in Poland in the 90s, just after we broke apart from USSR; the other one was... The Punisher. Sweet memories:)

I'm on a media blackout after that last trailer showed 470 different villains so can someone just tell me if it looks awesome or bodes well for the story to be good quality ? Any changes in graphics, how does the voice acting hold up, or any other non story details that can be shared ? Aka a spoiler free impression of the trailer, lol.

In my humble opinion, story looks sweet, but nothing that goes beyond a normal comic book story. Voice acting is at the same quality you've heard before in previous trailers. Graphics look better to me, for example the lighting, there's actually a shot from the E3 conference demo that looks better now then it did. Does show a lot of stuff though so I would stay away if I was you, although they said that there are other surprises in store in the game.

We get it, your hype levels are off the charts and you think it's going to be the best game ever. But people are entitled to being somewhat critical of things without these kind of responses. After all, the person said that he/she only had one single complaint about the game. If that is enough to kill your on personal joy ride then why not try to ignore it and just move along? Let people react differently and just have some respect for the variety of opinions.

It's an open world game so expecting 85-89 range.
Despite their popularity it's a genre where getting 90+ is rare.
Horizon Zero Dawn was probably the most polished open-world game on day-1 I've seen (patches pre add-on was only a handful of MB's for months) and ended up at 89.

That's a weird comparison. DMC5's faces are absolutely fantastic, meanwhile the faces here are... well, those.

Or did you simply mean you dislike them both regardless of realism and whatnot?
I dislike them both. I do like Nero's and his sidekick's model. But the facial animations throw me off in DMC5. Is creepy. Especially in the E3 trailer when she says "To kick demon's ass" I usually don't get bugged out by photorealism but in Spidey and DMC5 I'm not feeling it. Again, these games you are going to be playing in 3rd person and only in the cut-scene you'll see it.

I understand what you mean, the photorealistic graphics with cartoony animations make them *slightly* creepy, but not creepy enough where I won't get used to them after the first 5 minutes.

I don't get it either. Like... at all. I mean sure, Spiderman is the most globally popular superhero of all time, Insomniac are a renowned developer with a list of quality hits under their name and impressions of the game thus far have been glowing across the board. But I still don't get the hype.

I genuinely think this game will surprise many on how good it will be.
It's been game of the show at E3 for many outlets and all the showings are very promising.
And yes trailer is amazing for real.

What a terrible response. I hate that stupid picture.

(yeah, it's a garbage meme)

I'd actually go one step further and say that everyone except Peter and Ultimate Electro looks wrong and miscast. Silver Sable looks like a stiff CEO archetype, and I have no idea what they were thinking with that Garry Shandling-looking Norman Osborn.

Ah, fair enough. To each his own. I love Nero's facial animations, but Nico's is almost creepy for me. It's alright for me here, though I do wish it was better, of course.

Spider-Man will win.

Spider-Man is Marvel's most famous, renowned and most popular character; so a AAA Spider-Man game with enough heart, love and passion behind it will review and sell like gangbusters.

Let's just hope that Miles is kept on the back burner as this is a Peter Parker story. As an OG Spider-Man fan, I love Peter Parker and I'm excited to play a game where I get to play as and enjoy a story involving Peter Parker from start to finish.

Do you mean like most Spider-Man games that already exist?

I grew up on Peter Parker as Spider-Man but I wouldn't mind having Miles available to play as it would give an option for a different play style.

I'd be in no way surprised if they are holding off on the collectors statue because it's either Miles or MJ in a suit. It's more likely to be the former but man that scene with her in Oscorp with the spider has me tilting my head like an anime character.

Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 is a Renew Your Vows game?

latest

If MJ did become a Spiderwoman in this(and not just for Peter getting swapped out)
It would be my favorite Spiderman thing outside of comics.

I kinda had the same thought at that scene.

One of my favorite little things in this trailer is that for the first time we got to use the Marvel flipbook logo
