Yep, I loved that scene, it was the peak of that trashy, long, Eric foreman-having piece of shit of a movie that was the climax of that shitty week I had when it released.

Man, fuck you, movie.

This is one of those movies that hits you hard or just doesn't. It did not work for me at all.

Great 1st date movie!

Now I want to watch Interstellar. Clip I just watched pretty much spoiled it but I had my ideas already. Not surprised.
Actually more interested now. Just not 2.99 interested, now.

Went a little too far down youtube rabbit hole.

Don't have whole breadth of it but I think I watched something petty well along.. fuck.
Still interested though.

The familial bond shit hits me a lot harder than it used to.

I was not ready for this in the theater with my wife. We have a young daughter and that scene destroyed me. My wife thought i was faking it at first but damn it was all i could do to keep from sobbing.

nothing will top Christopher Reeve from Superman 1978 when he finds Lois dead in the car. He tries the kiss thinking it might save her. And as he's lying her down he welps pitifully because he may be Superman but he couldn't even save his love. Then the ugly cry face followed by the best scream of anguish in any movie imo.

God, that scene of him watching his kids grow up without him kills me. He has no way to respond to him, and he sees them grow to resent him, while their lives just pass him by. Heartbreaking. :(

I have to admit I was a real sucker for this film. Nolan's basic plotlines and concepts are always kind of all over the place, but he really is great at wringing the emotion out, and honestly that's more than enough to have me leaving the theater happy. His movies are cathartic.

Who does this?
You think maybe you want to watch the movie, so you watch a bunch of clips from various parts of the film on YouTube? You're obviously interested in watching it...why not just watch the damn thing?

Interstellar is a perfect film and I will die defending it.

Nothing about the Murph/Cooper relationship works at all, and relies entirely on the viewer bringing their own emotional core to it, which is tremendously sloppy filmmaking. McConaughey's performance in this scene is very good, but it's ultimately hollow as the film itself fails to support him. It's doubly frustrating because Interstellar comes real close to being something great, but ultimately arcs wide and settles for "good."

I have come to accept that Nolan will never top The Prestige.

I seriously can't even look at the McConnaughey Interstellar gif without having to blink back tears myself. It's too much.

What actually got me to cry like a little bitch in the theater while watching Interstellar was the final ten minutes. My god, I was not ready for the feels.

Fantastic movie.
