They are probably holding out on the announcement for that double dip money. Or it just won't be ready day and date and they didn't want to anger pc and Switch fans.

Honestly, the main reason I believe Spyro PC / Switch isn't coming at the same time as the other versions is simply due to not enough resources: Toys for Bob isn't just working on Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, but they've worked on Crash Bandicoot: N'Sane Trilogy for Switch as well; thus, I assume they just couldn't work on a Switch / PC SKU in time for a simultaneous release with the other systems.

Why the big secret for the switch version seriously

The cynic in me thinks it's a way to boost sales of the Xbox/PS4 version. Wait until those have the chance to "peak" in sales and then announce it's coming to more platforms. Especially if the release on other platforms was already planned to be later.

So far Nintendo hasn't announced a new Plattformer for the Holidays....would have been smart to get the Switch version out this year.

But it doesn't seem like it's possible otherwise they would have announced it already.

Was there really anyone doubting this after Crash? Of course it's coming to PC and Switch, just the matter on how long. Hopefully not a year like Crash, because Spyro is releasing on both PS4 and Xbox so there's no Playstation deal holding it back.

Probably would pick it up on PC. I picked Crash on Switch but the drawbacks were too much for me.

The original Spyro on Nintendo. So many playground arguments have gone full circle.

Please launch in 2018. Closer to actual PS4/X1 release the better. No vague "2019" and then it comes out a year later and is still full price.

Iron Galaxy ported Crash for PC, I'm guessing Acti will farm that version to them again. Maybe they'll do the Switch version too.

feel like this is just a website error.

that being said, a later port is probably on the cards. simply due to a resource issue, rather than a "double dipping conspiracy"

Really though with this coming out right around the time DQXI is in September I'd be good with a later port. I probably wouldn't have a chance to get to it right away anyway.

Crash seemed to have done well so I see no reason why Spyro wouldn't come as well. Add to that Nintendo and now the official Spyro sites have both mentioned the Switch version and it may be the worst kept secret in gaming atm.

They want that double dipping money so, sooo bad. I'll bet my fuckin' hat they delay the PC/Switch versions for that reason alone.

NES Classic and SNES Classic were revealed in July of their respective years so it feels like we're due some kind of Direct or announcement soon. (Pure speculation)

Also the Italian website shows it.
I wonder if Switch and PC versions will come out the same say as PS4 and XBOne versions. If so, why would they have decided to announce them later?

Not really surprising for either platform- only real confusion is why neither were announced alongside the PlayStation and Xbox versions.
