This is my main point.

To me anything Trump and current USA administration and the people that enable them is nauseating.

Like not only is Vince one of the main contributers of Trump campaign, just in this year WWE and Vince became a propaganda machine for a regimen that is committing genocide by starving a population to death, wanted to name a womens wrestling match after a pimp, welcomed back a racist that did not apologize for what he did and instead gave a talk about not getting caught.

Also, there are many examples of split communities, like the manga OT and the OT for One Piece and any other popular manga. That way the manga OT does not get drowned in One Piece talk and so on.

Like it is not just me not liking WWE, it is what the man behind and a good portion of the people there enabled and stand for: a lunatic that went as low as to do concentration camps for kids.

I would say the same about RoH, but lucky only a few here care about it.
you want the wrestling community split because of trump?

Splitting the thread is an awful idea for many reasons. Creates division, clearly. Keeps people from being exposed to other wrestling that is different than what they watch. Makes both communities a hell of a lot smaller. It's a really stupid idea if you care about community growth. If you want it to die, go this route. If you can't handle reading about WWE, lol

Be inclusive, not a shithead

smacks of box-office era going "Maybe we should have OTs for every studio with a movie coming out. I don't like hearing about this other movie. It's dominated by that."
Yup, splitting the thread is a bad idea.

Don't split the community. More than ever, there is a lot of talent movement and political machinations happening behind the scenes between WWE and other companies. In a non-WWE thread can you talk PROGRESS? ICW? EVOLVE? What about WWE UK wrestlers?

All this stuff is connected, yeah it sucks when WWE is the most talked about thing despite being insanely boring to watch or talk about but still

Just saw this week's NXT and I gotta say that I'm not a fan of strike finishers like Kassius Ohno's and Lacey Evan's finisher. Seems like a safe move but low effort. I dont know. Same with Kairi's top rope elbow drop because anyone can do it. But I'm glad she showed a submission finisher on the previous week and I hope she would just use that as her main finisher.

One of the things I really like about the thread is the diversity of promotions that people watch here from the WWE to SHINE. On many circumstances the talk about diffident companies has led people to watch productions they wouldn't have otherwise. Keeping in mind the WWE's still the biggest gateway to wrestling having a shared thread is the best way for WWE fans to learn about the other shows available out there.

Otherwise the politics of wrestling are usually iffy all around and whilst people have different tolerances for what they want to support (people will generally have different standards for different products) I don't think people should judge others on that given nobody here backs away from talking about the sleezer side of wrestling and in just about every case I've seen people come across as having progressive views even if they disagree on the finer details or on what rumours to believe.

Edit:

That's not why. It's because One Piece is a big deal and generates enough talk to justify its own thread. Just like many other IP's have their own OT's while there's an overarching OT for the genre or subculture they belong too. Nobody in the Apple OT is complaining when people talk about the iPhone X while there's a dedicated OT for that.

Nobody is splitting communities because they dislike aspects of it or dislike interacting with others that do enjoy it.

That is one part, but there is also the endless discussion about ethics and WWE, the Roman talk (at this point I am more tired about the Roman jokes than the wrestlers), the WWE hate watchers (how sad can one be when the best scenario they see for WWE improving is one man dying, even if it is Vince?) and so on.

I just see OP as WWE and the rest of the manga that is not followed much like the wrestling indies.

On a different note, this wrestling event in Mexico is going to be weird and wild:

Ohno's came out of nowhere and I couldn't even see it. Not sure what I think of Ohno right now.

On topic about the community, I like that there's a variety of promotions being talked about here. I only watch WWE (except 205) and iMPACT. But the talk of NJPW here made me check out the US G1 event a few weeks ago. That was the first time I saw Kenny Omega on TV. Yes he is great. I also liked the match Jay White vs Juice for the TV title or something. I dont like his knife gimmick and knocking JR off his chair seems unnecesary. But the heel stuff after that was nice. Getting heat and Josh Barnett looked like he was about yo get involved. I might watch a few events from time to time.

I also think the combined thread leads to interesting discussion juxtaposing WWE and their talent with the rest of the wrestling world.

If you split discussion on a hard line "WWE and everything else", you kind of rob that part of discussion.

Apparently some live reports from last night's NXT taping brought this up regarding the NXT Women's Title stuff:

Kairi apparently dialed up the intensity several levels last night in her match against Aliyah. Busted out several new moves, and was much harder hitting from a striking standpoint.

Also in regards to Kairi, I feel like the root of a lot of people's complaints would be resolved if she actually got a longer match to show off in. She's been in jobber squash matches for like 90% of her NXT career.

I like Deonna but she has to work on her ability to take moves, it seems like any time she has to tumble (e.g. on ranas) or throw her legs she'll just sandbag or react really late.

Speaking of US women Britt did pretty well in her match with Natsuko, if anyone came across as a little sloppy it was probably Natsuko as she's clearly not experienced in working with women of Britt's size. My only real issue with Britt was whenever she ran it looked like she was in slow motion, it didn't help that she was next to Natsuko who has a whole heap of offence that's just her sprinting through her opponents.

Best joshi match of the day is easily Maki vs Yuka even though it's obviously a goofy match.

So stupid question. If Kairi loses at Brooklyn, do you guys think she's getting the callup? Assuming the worst and Carmella retains at Summerslam, Smackdown will need another top babyface. Because Nikki is either debuting as a heel, or going to RAW.

Dope, love it.

She'll be fine.

Clear indication that we need less idols and more magical girls like Yuka!!!

Also best theme!

The Crash card is up:

It is basically a CMLL vs Progress vs The Crash event.

The main event and the triple tag matches are going to be great.

So there are people out there who are actually mad we are getting Kairi vs Shayna at Brooklyn because "Kairi isn't ready to be champ, and she sucks in the ring". When asked who Shayna SHOULD face:

Dakota Kai (please disregard the fact that she's pretty much on a losing streak to anyone who isn't a jobber)
Candice LaRae (Johnny's wife, that's all I can see from her)
Nikki Cross (because some people actually thought her match with Shayna at the last Takeover was one of the top NXT Women's matches of all time, despite the fact that it was mediocre at best)

Super underrated match. The chairshots!!!

Hell yeah man, last year was probably a better year for him but he had such a ridiculously great showing in the DDT tournament this year. Plus his matches with Hino and Miyahara and Takagi.

This match in particular was crazy heated.

I also like that he gave Omega the fire thunder driver(I think, I'm terrible with move recognition).

The Thursday EVE show at the end of September sounds amazing. Weird that they're doing this match here:

Actually I think the main even might have been better. We need less idols and magical girls because we need more kaiju and Mega Aces. Both Shoko and Miyu had really good showings in the main event, hopefully it will carry through to their performances tomorrow.
Of course, the main event has Hyper Misao.
