I think its over and all the constant nothingburger dudes may be right.

McConnell came out and said "they better not do that again." Fox news, the few seconds I can stand at a time, talk about why the Dems are still making this a deal and will nothing satisfy them. Paul Ryan and Mitch went out of their way to not mention Trump. They're not going to do anything, again. Hope I'm wrong.

When the Republicans vote to put this "witch hunt" behind us and move forward, that's what will happen. See you at the polls.
People who thought the GOP would actually give a shit beyond a 48 hour period haven't been paying attention.

They're getting everything they've been dreaming of through Trump.

FYI, if the Democrats take power in 2020 and try to go back to business as usual and let the transgressions of Trump, the GOP, the NRA and Russia slide without any fundamental changes or repercussions, you need to do more than protest. You need to riot!

People aren't even rioting with the Trump, GOP, NRA government now. You think they will with Democrats in charge?

When Obama came in he said no going after the crimes of the last administration. Same logic will apply.

McConnell is going to get blindsided by self-preserving republicans. Shit is hitting the fan. The gop values it's existence, so it will divest of the Trump cult as more evidence is revealed.

The other side is already on it.

Obama didn't inherit the presidency from a Russian stooge so I don't see how the same logic would apply.

I keep seeing this. Who is motherfucking Reek?
A character in game of thrones that's tortured by a psychopath till he breaks. During the torture the psychopath renames the character as "Reek" and frequently tells him his new name. Eventually the guy is completely broken, accepts his new name, and becomes completely subservient to his torturer so much so that even when his family comes to rescue him he refuses to leave or be called by his old name cause his torturer would get mad at him.

Actual ongoing mass riots would be a bad idea because once Trumps declares martial law in response to that, with the support of the likely Senate GOP majority and a stacked Supreme Court, there probably isn't any coming back from that.

Trump is the base. GOP are the elected officials that work on behalf of the mega wealthy donors.
The mega wealthy donors are Russians too now

He didn't misspeak, just the jet lag made him say it. Now that he's flown back home the jet lag is reversed and now we should listen to him.

This is the laziest most ridiculously passive effort 'uh, no, I said NOT that thing'.

You listen to the original clip in context, it makes no sense if there was a 'not' in there. And also after he 'corrects' himself he still can't help but try to toss the blame away from Russia and onto, say, a 400lbs hacker.

Unfuckingbelievable. Un-fucking-real.

Help I can't take it.

I'm sure this will get lots of negative responses but, in my opinion, it's true. Call it a betrayal, an embarrassment, a disgrace, but treason is a very specific word.

Yeah, this whole debacle is a lot of things, but treason is a very specific word that needs to keep its narrow focus in the non-zero chance that things with Trump escalate to that point.

Nothing was done to the South after the civil war. I pray we don't make the same mistake again in 2020.

Are GOP leaders buying this like they bought his second statement on Charlottesville? I mean, they probably are, but I had to work late and then went on a long run so I've been away from the news most of the day.

they will do whatever they can to stay in power and out of trouble with their base so of course they all at least pretend to accept this

Yeah they just sit and wait for excuse so they can go back to telling their base everything is okay.

This man can't say a bad word about Russia to save his life

It's so obvious Putin has something on him at this point
He could just be loyal to Russia, he'll probably do some nice business there in the future. USA should just change its name to Western Russia.

I don't see him being a pedo or a pee pee tape or whatever affecting his role as president of the united states that much. Voters were ok with him grabbing'em by the pussy, years later they should be accustomed to stuff like golden showers as well.

Yeah. It's this weird thing where they saw nothing wrong w/ the press conference yesterday and claimed it went perfectly. Then still have to agree w/ Trump that he mispoke and meant literally the opposite of what he said. And then further STILL say people overreacted and Trump initially did nothing wrong.

It's not about 'buying' it moreso that projecting an image that they do.

A lot of congress realise how stupid he is, but play along to A) progress their nefarious agendas B) gain the support of his supporters - plus if you're a Republican congressman who opposes Trump then you know fine well you'll have a target on your back.

It's about falling in line.

What the fuck is it going to take for action to be taken against this fool?

As long as the Republicans remain in charge, nothing. A part of the GOP does this because for them it is party over country and the rest most likely because they are directly involved in this whole affair with Russia.
