Welllll..... shoot. That didn't seem to be up there long! I already own it on Steam so didn't want to double dip just for the occasional couch co-op session so having it on Gamepass was quite a nice perk for me. Guess I'll have to buy an HDMI cable for my PC or something ;)

Just three months! One of the shorter ones I've seen. Presumably promo for Overcooked 2!

Is it possible to back up a Gamepass game and transfer it to another Xbox with a different gamertag? A friend of mine lives out in the country and while his internet is good enough to play games on, actually downloading these huge 80GB+ games is a nightmare. I'm going to go visit him in a couple of weeks, is it possible for me to back up some of the games and then restore onto his Xbox? He is also a gamepass subscriber, but of course the Xbox Live gamertag/account will not be the same. We do this all the time with Steam games, but I don't know if/how it would work with Gamepass?

Just sign into your gamertag on his Xbox and you are all set.

If you have an external drive, copy the games across and then just plug it into your friend's Xbox.

You should then be able to play it direct from that drive, either via his gamer tag or yours.

Regarding the Game Pass Multiplayer club, I think I'm 100% up to date on invites. If I somehow missed you, please do let me know (and apologies!). I'm trying to check in on join requests 1-2 times daily as well.

Just bought an Xbox and am really excited to get Gamepass.

Seeing some reports that D4 came back? Is that true? Deadly Premoniton's my favorite 360 game so like I'm getting D4 eventually but I just plopped down a chunk of change lol

Yep, it's up there for free as part of game pass right now. If you're new to the xbox, game pass is a great way to sample things.

I think unless there is another half-price deal, I'm just going to go on a month by month basis as although they rotate content, I can't see there being enough for me for the next nine month continually.

Is there a way to see when games are leaving the service? A week or two ago, I had navigated to some screen on the Xbox console under Gamepass that listed the expiry dates of various games, but I can't seem to locate it again. In particular, I'm curious to know when Vermintide 2 leaves so I can determine when to dedicate time to playing it in earnest.

They normally just announce what's leaving in the month prior. You won't find an expiry date for specific games on the console. This is what we know if leaving in August. https://www.trueachievements.com/n33542/five-titles-leaving-xbox-game-pass-on-july-31st-2018

Games have always (I think?) been on the service for at least three months so far. Only a small handful leave each month (less than get added) and the number that have left after such a small amount of time is tiny.

I saw some games listed that had expiry dates within their Gamepass store pages of a few months out, a year out, etc. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I am certain I saw it.

Take it with a grain of salt if you will, but as many likely expected, Vermintide 2 is not a permanent Game Pass title, it'll roll out in a while. Had a recent chat at an event with a dev who talked about the fact that the Game Pass discount will come in handy for those who are enjoying the game and will want to play it after the Game Pass period ends. He didn't know the specifics of the deal, but confirmed that it's a timed deal. Just a heads up in case you're loving the game and are planning to play it long-term.

I think a few games have been on for 3 months as the shortest, i thought it was announced as they launched into the service if they were that short tho.

I think it'll stay at least 3-4 months. Besides, Game Pass only offers the cheapest version of the game, they are effectively looking at it as a way to experience a huge chunk of the game, but if you truly want it all you'd better buy it between the fact you get more stuff from the get go and then you get to keep it too. A very different approach compared to MS's first parties where you will effectively keep the game (as long as you sub, of course), if anything you may want to get DLCs.

Mgsv was announced with the three month expiring date. One other was as well but I don't quite remember which one right now. But yes, so far 3 months seems to be the bare minimum - so if something interesting to you get on the system, might want to have a "priority play" group ready for them just in case

Yep, this seems to be the best way to approach Game Pass. If there is something you really want to play, get on it because you may only get a 10-15 days notice of it going out, which may not be much with a lenghty game. For example I'm kinda kicking myself over not start DIRT Rally before they announced it'll leave, because I am really enjoying it but I don't expect to finish it all before the Game Pass period ends.

Any idea how long Vermintide 2 is? I would mainly be playing solo since my schedule doesn't line up with a lot of my "real life" friends.

Haven't got any info on the duration, sorry. I'd assume it's at least 3 months given past examples, but besides it not leaving this month there isn't much we know yet.

One exception was Bomberman Battlefest which only was on the service for 2 months and left the day Bomberman R came out.

Still salty about that one :(

You're not crazy, some of them do say 20% off then an expiry date.
Lumo says 20% off till 01/07/2019
Human Fall Flat is till 01/06/2019

I don't know what that means with regards to how long they'll stay on gamepass though.
Lumu was supposed to leave in April there but it's still available.

Ha, awesome. Thanks for the confirmation! This is exactly what I saw, I just don't know how to get back to that area.

I think it's 13 missions, each about 30 minutes to playthrough. Of course it's a highly replayable looter, so the actual lebgth depends on if your goal is to complete the campign or move up in hero and diffiiculty levels/complete challenges, etc.

Last night I decided to give Abzu a go. It was on the loading screen for about 4 minutes before I restarted it figuring it had crashed. It didn't load the second time either. And first thing this morning it failed to get past the same screen again.

Anybody else have this problem?

A heads-up for everyone enjoying DiRT Rally: the game will be delisted at the end of the month, but it's also sub-10$ on the Ultimate Sale right now. If you feel that you need this game in your life, better buy it now, because Game Pass' 10-20% discounts are very minimal compared to the discount the game currently has.

In the Games and Apps screen I saw a "Game Pass" section that let me install the games without going to the store. Then one day it vanished...was that a preview thing or what?

It's a server-side setting, so it can be enabled and disabled by Microsoft tied to your account and Xbox tier (so you at least need to be online for it to show up).

I didnt have that problem. Try hard resetting the console, and if still no dice delete re-install maybe?
