It is a spin off of GTA3 so yeah.Does San Andreas count?
Crash Team Racing is better than the Crash Bandicoot games
The warioware franchise imo.
And to me the best one is touched and smooth moves, altho i gotta wait till the end of the month for the final judgement once i played gold since that seems to bring together all the kinds of wario ware mingames in one game so that one has a big chance to top it.
But yeah i prefer wario ware above land.
I genuinely hope Splatoon spinoffs happen.
I NEED THOSE BADLY.
Not as a slight to the Dragon Quest series, but Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is my favourite game in the series by a decent margin.
Heroes of Might and Magic is arguably better than the main series.
Yeah, I'll agree with your Megaman analyses. They're direct sequels to the original Megaman series. The only one that could probably actually be considered a spin-off is the Battle Network series.I don't think I agree on the Megaman X and Zero games being spinoffs.
With that being said, the Wario Land series (3 in particular being my answer), since they directly spun off from Super Mario Land, and they're overall better games.
Other m is no more mainline than prime. The prime games are way closer to classic metroid than other m.Metroid...Prime?
I mean it's not part of the numbered mainline titles: Metroid > Metroid 2 > Super Metroid > Metroid Other M > Metroid Fusion
It's more like its own subseries with a different take on Metroid gameplay with the First Person Adventure approach.
This. I hated U4 and loved Lost Legacy.Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - sorry Drake this game got rid of the excess and stuck to what the series does best
But Injustice is built upon everything that is MK. Plenty of differences, but also a lot similarities. I mean it is its own franchise while also being a spin off/continuation of MK vs DC, a main series MK game. It's a weird classification, but I think it holds up.That's cool and all, but they're totally different franchises so it's not a spin-off.
Purely out of interest, in your view what is the previous game in the series from Mania?
The alpha series it's not a spin off, hell they're arguably the most important parts of the entire story.I also think Street Fighter Alpha games are much better than the main storyline.
Except definitely not, in any realm of reality. DK is one of the best arcade games of all time. DKC is a generic platformer (released when there were 100s) with sub-Jimmy-Neutron-TV-series art and animation, and character designs they stole off a bag of store brand cereal.
This is actually the greatest example. The story, the characters, the gameplay. All at the top of what Final Fantasy has ever had to offer.
Despite recognizing that DK is an all-time arcade classic, I would rather sit down and play DKC over it any given day. The look hasn't aged all that well, but it's still a fun platformer. I prefer that to a repetitive score chase game, myself.Except definitely not, in any realm of reality. DK is one of the best arcade games of all time. Stop apologizing for abuse you received as a child. It wasn't your fault.

EDIT: You know, I think I'm being too harsh. Generic cereals usually have much better character design than DKC.
Regardless of your genre preferences, there are 100s of games that do DKC better than DKC and few to none that do DK better than DKDespite recognizing that DK is an all-time arcade classic, I would rather sit down and play DKC over it any given day. Now if I really had a choice I'd say DKC2, the best of the Countries by far.
Looks like someone's mom wouldn't buy him the good cereal.
Like DK '94? Or Congo Bongo (lol)?Regardless of your genre preferences, there are 100s of games that do DKC better than DKC and few to none that do DK better than DK
And FarmVille and Candy Crush are more successful than both. That doesn't say anything about the quality. SMT always had the higher scores until Persona 5 got released...and that was after Famitsu's scoring became worthless.
There really aren't though. The DKC trilogy on SNES, especially DKC2 were rightfully regarded as some of the best platformers ever created, from both a design and visual persepective, and this was right at the end of the Golden Era of 2D platformers before 3D became the new normal. They managed this while also not attempting to clone Mario, which basically every other platformer was doing at the time. Flash forward to today, and Tropical Freeze is up there with SMB3 for greatest platformer period.Regardless of your genre preferences, there are 100s of games that do DKC better than DKC and few to none that do DK better than DK

I love the classic Crash Bandicoot games, but Crash Team Racing is one of the finest games ever, regardless of the genre.
Already mentioned, but Forza Horizon 3 beats any other racing game around basically, including mainline Forza titles.
Also, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is probably the best Far Cry ever, despite me loving most episodes of the series.
The DKC games are not bad, but they miles and miles behind the actual classics of the day (Yoshi's Island, Sonic trilogy, Castle of Illusion, Mega Man X, etc). There really aren't though.
