Friendship has really added a nice dynamic to the real life interaction aspect.

We did a raid at the park this afternoon, at least one person came out just for the daily interaction with a few people. A second Regice egg popped while we waited. We finished the first and all just hung out for 40 minutes trading and talking.

Alolan Golem is the most absurd Pokemon I've yet seen in this game, never finished or even got halfway through Sun and Moon so I've never seen this form until today. But man is it the most cartoonish Pokemon.

I've actually developed a nice stash of 10km eggs after the last blow-out during Squirtle Community Day.

Just lacking the motivation to use incubators and walk.

So I'm just now returning the game after it's initial release, and I'm noticing next to no Instinct players in my city. Will that put me at a huge disadvantage as a player when I start to raid? I've tried googling around and I can't find a solid answer. Considering doing a restart on a new team but not sure if it would be a waste of time. Currently Level 21, no legendaries or anything special beyond some strong IV Pokemon I like.

You eat fewer bonus balls, it's not a huge issue

No big disadvantage at all - in fact some things will be easier (always a gym to battle for those quests)
It may be harder for you to get coins and you will get less balls from raids (but everyone will get extras for friendship bonuses so make sure you become friends with those in the raid group in your area).

Thanks for the insight. Never thought about plenty of gyms for me to challenge, I don't think I'll mind that.

Hmm. I wonder what they're gonna do between now and late August as events. There's Zapdos day, Eevee weekend, a new research reward month, and the rotation of raids to Regirock/Registeel. But it'd shock me if there wasn't a larger event in between double candy week and the Japan Safari Zone.

I was kind of wondering about it though because I don't remember walking an Eevee to evolve it into Espeon or Umbreon, or even evolving them at certain parts of the day. As far as I remember the name trick was all I needed. idk it's been so long...

Yes, the name trick works the first time for each Eevee evolution. After that, you can force an Umbreon or Espeon with the walking trick. So if you only have one Umbreon and Espeon, you would have not had to walk either of them.

There is no way to force evolve a Gen 1 Eevee evolution, after you've already used the name trick.

For the name trick, you don't need to walk them. You only need to walk if you don't have the name trick.

Omg hatching eggs at this rate with more candies popping out is CRAZY good! I feel like I'm playing the loot boxes game with them though hoping for the ones I need.

Got my first Alola Vulpix thanks to an egg from Blade25.

Double hatch candy and half distance has been clutch for me as a new player. Had enough coin to get the top bundle with a bunch of super incubators, too. Got my 4th Bagon that took me well over the top to do both evolutions. Got my first Beldum with a whopping 58 candy. Hatched a Scyther which took me from 5 to 47 candy.

I have 100% IV of each Kanto starter now so happy with that, did a few more raids last night, shit luck with Regice so far but I did manage to catch one. Wouldn't mind a few more before it swaps over.

16th Mewtwo raid on deck before my 15th tomorrow.

I seriously need to consider trading some Mewtwos because they're starting to take up a lot of space in my Pokemon storage. Where's that upgrade to 2000?

I just got my first EX-raid pass, lol. I'm kinda worried about people showing up for it though. Google says a team of 3 with good counters should be enough to win, but the timing of the event is not great. Tyranitar's with dark moves seem like the best counter, but all mine have smack down from the community day event. Any advice on whether that's still a good play or not? Have a bunch of Gengars too which might help.

I wouldn't be worried about turnout. Just plan to arrive 5-15 minutes early. At least around here, everyone is in a rush to get it done and will use that time beforehand to plan out groups. I've never seen fewer than 15 people show up.

There will be plenty of people at the raid. Any of the Dragons are good, Scizor, Alolan Muk will all do some damage.

I keep hatching Trapinch from 10k eggs. 8 From the last 10 10k eggs. It is so annoying because I still desperatly need multiple Bagons and Beldums to fill my Pokédex.

This new glitch with your reward encounters now going immediately into your queue and you don't get the encounter is very annoying. Is there a way to get the encounters to show without having to clear out your queue?

I don't think so. It's unfortunate because it means we can't pinap them before saving it for later.

Have barely been playing this as of late, so I was incredibly suprised and excited to hatch Summer Pichu out of a 2k egg!

I plan on doing a few Zapdos raids on Saturday, but I'm not expending Premium passes for this event. Much more interested in shiny Moltres because it looks much better, but I still don't know if I'll hunt for that one.
