Can anyone explain the belligerent "liberal" character archetype in fiction?

Jokes aside, I think THE archetypical example for liberal belligerence in media is Lisa Simpson. Which is odd, because she's not an altogether forceful or overbearing personality within the context of the rest of the show's cast. Her belligerence is more of a meta characteristic, where her presence as a central figure in a particular narrative means some political allegory is typically going to be strongly criticized, and her perspective will likely be presented as right and fair.

Well, an easy explanation are Liberals are more likely to make fun of and joke about the more extreme elements of their groups in a light hearted way compared to Conservative Comedy which is more malicious than anything. It's is why most Comedy and Nightly Talk Shows have Liberal slants to them.
You can also mix this with the people who hold the big bucks wanting to see Liberals fall over themselves because it serves an ideological purpose.
