It was when you add to cart during checkout process.

Will not show otherwise

Ah, I see. Wasn't showing the price in cart, as the OP stated it would. I'd buy this in an instant....if the site was up lol

edit - also yes I'm a hypocrite for telling people not to buy things on amazon in another thread don't @ me

I seriously thought about this... I sat there and stared at it in my shopping cart. No way I can justify it, though. I haven't played a game on my PC (currently rocking a 1060 6GB) in months. I'm also not sure how I would explain this to my wife when I get home. Somehow I feel like "but it was a price error" is going to redeem me. =P

Doesn't look like much of a difference between this and a 980 Ti (which is what I currently have)... still, that's a lot less than what I paid for mine a few years ago. LOL

380 for 1070 Ti thats actually a hell of a deal.

Anyone who was questioning upgrading you could probably sell you 9xx and get this card for effectively free.

I'm exactly on the same boat. Can picture my wife's face and her index pointing at me.

Yea, I can't even get the site to load the checkout screen, so I give up. tbh, I think I won the silicone lottery with my MSI 1070 anyway, so it's probably got comparable performance to the TI version.

Exactly my reasoning, except I have a 770.

Could just sell it?

I mean numbers wise sure, but it's just a higher chipset, therefore it'll just run faster.

For reference, here's a price history on the card

This is tempting but it's also hard to justify ditching my AMD Fury for this since I'd be losing Freesync and the Fury is still doing fine for me.

If I knew someone that would buy my 1070 for a similar cost I'd jump on it...but nah. Good buy from what I can tell for those in them market though. Are the rumors of the next gen GPUs coming out this month still kicking around?

I have a 1070 but I bought this since that price is crazy good. Just gonna sell my 1070

With video cards I generally hold out for a good deal at around the $350-$400 price point.
Been about 4 years since I picked up my 970, which was a great deal at the time. 1070ti for $380 ($415 after tax) seems a good price to upgrade. With this being an (accidental) -$140 price drop, I'm thinking it probably at least matches the natural price drops that are coming soon, just earlier.

You think that's an accurate assessment? Or do you think they'll drop even harder in the coming months? To me it seems like this is probably a good time to upgrade from my 970.

I have a 970 currently which is still working fine. I was tempted by this but it's still $400+ after tax and something tells me to just wait on the new cards. I'd never sell the old card on ebay, I'd end up just giving it away to a friend or something.

You're always gonna pay tax on whatever. So with the new cards it will be that price plus tax regardless. So tax shouldnt really be apart of the equation.

Update, this deal seems to be dead. Congrats on those who got it as it was a super good deal
