Journey of a Special Average Balloon on the Wii U shop. It was on sale for ten cents, so I gave it a shot. Even for a dime, I think it was overpriced. It was functional, from what I could tell but there was no end to how bland the game is. You just float around and collect stuff. It kind of feels like a old Flash game that was made by someone they just wanted to prove he could make a game, but had no idea of principles of what a game should have.

Man, some of the games people picked. Shit like Sticker Star and Dead Space 3 sure as hell aren't 1/10s, hahahahahahaha.

As for my 1/10 game, it a home sequel to one of my favorite arcade game as a kid. Fuck Race Drivin' on SNES. It is so, so, so, SO fucking bad. I've never counted the frames per second in the game, but I'm pretty sure it never gets above 5.

Shadow the Hedgehog was the first game to convince a childhood me to never trust your heroes. For the first few minutes I played it I thought it was some prank from the rental place, where they had switched out the disk with something they'd cooked up in an afternoon. I looked back on some gameplay years later and found that it was somehow worse than I remembered it.

look im fully aware that I am not the target audience for this game in even the slightest but my little cousin used to own this game and it is an absolute joke

The entire game can be beaten in about 10 minutes, an actual episode of Dora lasts longer

Maybe this is an unfair answer but I feel Paper Mario: Sticker Star is a 1/10 game.

Even something like Sonic 06 has value. Sonic 06 is extremely entertaining both in it's messy gameplay and terribly over the top story. A geniounly bad game can be good in ways it might never have intended. Sticker Star on the other hand has nothing of value in it. It does nothing interesting, it does nothing well, its different elements aren't "interestingly unique but ultimately a failure" like some lesser games different from their predecessors, they're just bad. It's a nothing game.

The true answer is all those asset flip achievement grinding "games" on the steam store, literally broken irredeemable garbage.

Nascar Heat Evolution was pretty terrible. I'm not sure if it's a 1/10, but it's definitely the worst game I've ever had to review.

Toren.

If not at least close to being 1/10 for me. Good thing it was cheap as hell.
Not even close, it was technically mess but still.. this game is no more or less 5-6/10

And yeah, I played some of them before.. even though they're probably 2/10 more than 1/10 smh. Either way, those games are Amy and Unearthed, both were broken as hell

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust

Fuck that game. The lowest low in my trophy hunting life. After a few hours I just stopped. I couldn't take it anymore.

Strafe

The framerate made it unplayable at launch. Worst gaming buy of all time.

JFK Reloaded. Even the developers were like, "Well, it's not really a game, per se."

Heavy Rain?
Final Fantasy 13?
Paper Mario Sticker Star?

I get that some people really dislike these games, but there's an element of hyperbolic expression going on here. Those games at least function well and have a decent amount of effort put into them. Hell, I don't even think something like Sonic 06 qualifies as a 1/10 game. To me a 1/10 is something so unapologetically trashy and shovel-ware tier that most of us wouldn't even give a second glance at it. Frankly if the game has some attempt at being functional and unique and is playable, then it's already past a 1/10 to me.

This might sound counterintuitive but 1/10 games are sometimes 'better' that, say, 4/10 games.

1/10 games are terrible and sometimes you can find some enjoyment in just how terrible they are. I used to wonder if the people that thought Superman64 was a good idea had any friends. Because your friends will stop you from making bad choices.

On the other hand I had to review Hole in the Wall, a kinect-controlled game for Xbox 360. It was completely inoffensive. Bland. But not bad enough to warrant a 1/10 score, if that makes any sense. I couldn't be bothered to push myself to write a full 1,500 word review because I'd run out of things to say about it.

I'd take bad over bland any day.

Superman 64, Trash It, Break Point, and many many more were 1/10 games lol.
That's the only one I can think of and that is pretty old at this point.

It was way more common on Ataris as there was straight up trash that you might but for 5 bucks and feel like you got ripped off.

Less so with the NES gen but there were some games that were pretty much unplayable.

It got more rare with each passing gen. I think the only 1/10 games today are probably on Steam or some other store that has no quality control.

I've played a lot 1/10 games, but Damnation is PURE shit, I still don't know how I've played it for around 5-10 hours before dropping it.

White Knight Chronicles. I still can't believe that Level 5 made that piece of trash. Nothing in that game is remotely good.

Attack of the Saucerman.
Superman 64.
Virus : It is aware.
Excalibur AD 2555 (and its glorious french translation where one of the Voice Actor spelled the name of his character in game "Name : TRADOR. I've been hurt by Orts...").

I don't think I've ever played anything quite that bad. Partly because I do research before buying anything.

Maybe some awful shareware DOS game from way back.

This bag of shit

dMciKW.jpg

I completed it on my first try by holding up and fire

It looks terrible, sounds terrible, is badly designed, badly programmed, has no challenge or mechanics to speak of, and bears no actual resemblance to its source matter.

A truly evil, irredeemable piece of commerce and hands down the worst video game I've ever played. Although there are probably worse out there.

I think games take such skill and time investment to create that most have at least a few redeeming qualities that mean they aren't a 1/10!

I usually manage to enjoy games I play, even ones that reviewed badly, and have a LOT of flaws. Games like Too Human (loved it despite its flaws), Two Worlds (the voice acting was so terrible it was actually quite amazing, Verily!), I would still be pretty generous and say they were nowhere close to a 1/10.

This is not an objectively 1/10 game, I know it has an audience, but Zeno Clash 2. Everything about it made me feel uncomfortable, and every design choice felt just slightly off. I felt like I was slowly losing my mind as I played.
I don't know, E.T Atari 2600 by historical standpoint is a pretty objective 1/10
