So sick of the media reporting every little case of racism. They are making it worse by doing so.
It exists in every race. If people just wouldn't participate it would die down.
Not at all. I dont think the media should report on it. It just stirs the pot.
I didnt look at it that way so good point. My statement was based on a conversation I had with a guy.
He said the more he reads in the news it makes him hate white people more and more, so it definitely stirs the pot.
I'm not racist.
How so?
The guy at CVS should be fired and dealt with. Reporting it on a national level does what? It just creates more anger and hate.
I never implied racism shouldn't be dealt with.
One thing that's important to realize. Seeing issues, and realizing your country has issues, is
NOT a bad thing. That is what's happening here. Employers are seeing racist employee's, they are getting fired, the bad publicity leads to (hopefully) more screening, and it leads to more power with us, the consumers. And by seeing these issues, and realizing our country isn't perfect, it gives us a goal to work towards.
Now, if we ignore these racists, then what? I already hear some people say racism is dead, I'd probably hear more of those guys. I'm a minority in my country, if racist weren't afraid of repercussions and there actions going viral, wouldn't they attempt to be racist more often?
But not reporting this, what happens? Do you really think that in
the long run there would be less hate, and less racism?
How many times have you felt racism in your daily life, have you ever been attacked for it? I know people that I'm related to who have been. I wish I had those guys on tape and I wish that went viral, why would you be against that? Verbal or physical racism is wrong, it shouldn't be ignored, it should be seen.
