I had a lot of fun with the demo of this and will probably pick up copies for me and my nephews when I can get a good deal on it. Can you player multiplayer/vs mode in wireless LAN mode if everyone has a copy of the game?

Same. I loved the idea of the thumbs up control, but when I got to try it I just couldn't get the hang of it. Trying to tilt to move and curving my punches at the same time, idk how people do it. I think it would work a lot better for me to press a button to punch and use the gyros to aim, and use the stick to move around.

Yup..

When they do decide to make the sequel for ARMS I hope they give it a lot of time to bake so they can go all out with the IP. They have proven what they can do and all they need to do is add more content and gameplay changes like adding specials and more movement.

If they can add a decent length single player that expands on the characters and the universe than it could turn out to be something special. The character design and artstyle is Nintendo at its best because they these characters deserve to be expanded. I would kill for a anime of this series cause it would work so well.

I initially disliked ARMS when I played it at a friends house a few times but then when they released a demo I grew to like it. Getting the game for only $30 new at Costco definitely helped me enjoy the game, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I had paid double though.

I hope Party Crash continues to happen every month.

Beyond the obsession in the forums with the single player modes, I do not think that a story mode would have changed the reception of the game much.

It is clearly focused on multiplayer.

There's nothing from what I played of Splatoon 1 that would suggest it having a bigger budget than ARMS imo.

Who knows tho.

Are you serious? The single player mode of splatoon alone is probably a larger production than all of arms. Splatoon has levels, stores, a hub, a single player mode with dialogue and story, more character models, all the gear and weapons.

Arms has a basic mode remixed with different options accessed through a basic menu..

They are different genres.

Seriously, stop comparing Splatoon with ARMS, it's like comparing Call of Duty with Street Fighter and see who has the most budget and who sells the most.

I AGREE! different genres have different budgets and different audiences and different sales potential

Arms having a larger budget would not have greatly increased its sales. It's still a 1v1 fighter and sold very well for what it is

Then we agree.

To consider ARMS a failure because it does not have sales of Splatoon is crazy. ARMS has been a very successful game.

If we worry about ARMS sales, we should be in a panic that Tekken 7 has not sold as much as Battlefield 1.

Read my posts. That's exactly all I've been saying.

Personally, I adore ARMS and think it's an amazing game. One of my favorite Switch titles for sure. And it has all the polish of something like MK8D but with very original gameplay.

I think they nailed it and am sorry to see that not everyone feels the same way. The motion controls also feel great in my humble opinion and is the only way I like to play the game.

Picked up arms today in target's craziness. I'm glad to see it's still being supported damn near a year later. It's a real good look on Nintendo's part.

I paid $40 for it and feel it should have had more content. No real single player. We could also use something like soccer.

Voiced biff, each character talking in their own languge (english for spring man, brasilian portuguese for mechanica, italian for lola pop...) all with subs and actual small conversation interaction against other fighters at the beginning and end of the match (no shit generic victory phrase and thats it), intro before competition with character motivitations, and real ending were they decide what to do after winning, instead of a simple image.

The amazing characters and world they created deserve this.
