Broly design for the Dragonball Super Movie revealed (statue and production art)

December for Japan, and January for everywhere else?
We know it's Jan for the US.
The Japanese release is December 14th 2018, while the English dubbed release is in January 2019. No release for anywhere else yet, I believe.
I see, still would've liked some effort into making them look different, are all Saiyan siblings twins?

The new design is great, like I can't actually see that he doesn't have 6ft tall legs and has an abdomen.
To the few saying this looks like Goku, I just want to ask is this your first introduction to Dragon Ball? Or rather, Toriyama and his distinctive art style?
I can't see U7 not referencing Kale upon seeing Broly. I'm interested in how that will play out.

Nice redesign. However I still get bugged whenever a new character shows up who is somehow as powerful as Goku. Like how did they exist all that time and no one knew about them? Multiple universes was good since it made sense for that, so maybe Broly is from a different universe.
I agree with this, though at the same time I'm just happy he still looks like Broly.
No one honestly cares about his normal form, it's the Legendary Super Saiyan form that he's famous for.

What if Broly is the U6 King from Planet Salada, but captured and mind controlled by Freeza?
Broly is gonna be U7 no doubt. This is about Saiyan origins, and his design is similar to the U7 Saiyans. U6 Saiyans are incredibly skinny and chibi looking.
Bet all the concerns go away when we see these new designs in motion.

The only form of NuBroly I'm not a fan of is the one between base and LSSJ.
It's looks so generic. Like something you would make in Xenoverse. Hopefully it doesn't stick around for long.

But isn't Trunks from the same universe as "History of Trunks"? I think that's where my confusion has always been.
The Z films were never canon. They did not make sense in any context of either the manga or the anime. Yes, some characters were brought into the show like Garlic Jr. during filler arcs, and they make even less sense. Super went out their way to retell the stories of the most recent movies within the show, going even further to make the films non-canon.
This Broly just based on the design alone is totally different.
Trunks showed up in the series proper first. History of Trunks was an expanded adaptation of an extra manga chapter.
I dont like that he has scars, it means someone made him take damage and thats just nonsense, Broly is invencible :3
I wonder what his top level form / power level will be ? The thought of Broly going SSJGSSJ (Blue) or having Ultra Instinct........... Damn that's gonna be a tough fight.

Man that's a big downgrade from his original design.
This just looks like a slightly tweaked goku with a different outfit and white eyes (also why is his eyes white in regular ssj???)

I actually really like this design for Broly, though. It's way better than his original design.
