After Midterms in November, expect a LOT of announcements very quickly. Expected candidates in prior cycles have announced in Dec/Jan very quickly. Welcome to the world of the unending campaign.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/15/...dates-2020.html#click=https://t.co/u8pK7D5o0S

Listed in the article as candidates likely to throw their hat in the ring based on their behavior right now:

Elizabeth Warren
Joe Biden
Bernie Sanders
Kamala Harris
Cory Booker
Kirsten Gillibrand
Eric Garcetti
Deval Patrick
Steve Bullock
Terry McAulliffe

Article is good but near impossible to quote as its a lot of short stories about each candidate minus the exGovs.

I thought Warren wasn't running. And hopefully the rumors are untrue and Hillary doesn't run again.

Also we're getting a Democrat Kids Table Debate aren't we

Warren deliberately didn't run in 2016 cause she wanted the VP slot. There is 0 chance of Hillary running, any rumors are conspiratorial nonsense.

Clinton runs again and it will be 4 more years.

Sanders? Ughhhhh. Just give him a VP slot.

Personally, I'd prefer a candidate under the age of, say, 70. Or maybe even 60.

A woman should be the nominee regardless, Gillibrand or Harris are good picks either way.

I don't think Warren will run, and I hope that Biden and Sanders don't.

If we knock them off the list, of the rest the Bolded would make it past South Carolina:

Kamala Harris
Cory Booker
Kirsten Gillibrand
Eric Garcetti
Deval Patrick
Steve Bullock

Terry McAulliffe

And would be the core of the competition.

Hilary should have won anyways

Most of the country still voted for her

not our fault the US is based on an archaic ass voting structure that benefits Grandpa Bobby from the outskirts of Mississippi more than it does millions of Californians that basically subsidize the entire fucking country

but yeah even as a strong Hilary supporter she shouldn't run

Still salty as fuck she lost

Fuck racists

Fuck Trump

Fuck bigoted cunts

This is going to be, uh, "interesting" to say the least. Think I'm leaning Harris so far but it's too early to say. Maybe Booker might be good for the Midwest appeal.

If you're coming in here and saying "Hillary better not run" I straight up think you're trolling.
Hey if Hillary runs it's perfect justification to "both sides" the parties. "Democrats are shit and Republicans are shit, see?". I would imagine many would love for Hillary to run just so that reason alone.

No but seriously, Hillary Clinton is not running lol.

Kamala is a danger to the republic, (most) of the other presumed candidates are not.

Bring Dennis Kucinich back, or recruit Linda Sánchez or Gwen Moore or some fun House member.

If Biden throws his hat in, he runs away with it, if he picks Sanders as his vp, i dont see him losing to trump in 2020

Warren and Sanders would be my super early top two, though mostly because I know far too little about the rest.

Waiting for someone who comes in later. Need someone young and relatively fit to go against the orange glob in debates. Most of all I'm looking for someone not shying away from social issues in favor of talking only economic issues. That and I want a fighter, fuck decorum.

I still think Warren doesn't run. I know would-be candidates have to play this game of being faux-coy about will they or won't they run, but Warren has said explicitly she is not running that would look foolish for reversing herself so blatantly.

I'd also hope she realizes her weaknesses as a candidate.

If Biden throws his hat in, he runs away with it, if he picks Sanders as his vp, i dont see him losing to trump in 2020
I kinda feel it like it'd be grossly irresponsible for either of those two to pick the other as their running mate. Not that'd it happen anyway (they have no relationship and are completely different people) but I don't want a ticket where both candidates are over 75
