Wooow some of y'all need to stop being so defensive when there's no need to be. Not every JRPG ever has the exact same structure for every single part of the game, no. That's a very weird generalization of the entire genre just to fend off criticism here, especially because variety between the story bits doesn't mean the story bits can't be repetitive. I'll judge for myself when I see each chapter, but it does make me sad to consider that everything to has to follow that pattern compared to, say, Alfyn or Cyrus entirely just doing an investigation and resolving it in town rather than heading off into a dungeon. (...it does make me wonder, though, which of the chapters was the single one Schreier found not to have the same structure.)
