This game was the make or break one for me, yes they got far but beating Panama, Tunisia, Colombia, and Sweden would be expected of most teams, then for 2 games we have played half decent teams and lost.

Winning 3rd always makes you think about what if you did just a little better or had better luck in the last match. It might feel better years down the line the the players can show the medal to grandkids and say talk about how close they were to winning it all.

Nobody supporting England in this thread thought they would win the World Cup. The goal was to get out of the group. 4th is a massive achievement for this young group of players.

Well at least you don't go home after a loss or in the case of 4th place, two losses. At the end of the game the team that wins 3rd probably even feels better than the team that "wins" 2nd.
