It just found out the other day that he writes books now. I am sorry but I found this extremely funny after his infamous script ideas back in the days. I never forget this gem. Matt's story idea for Zelda Revolution (TP)

A matured storyline would of course be the very backbone of this advanced presentation. And by mature, we don't necessarily mean blood and guts, as neither have ever really been a selling point of the franchise. What we mean is a true tale. Something more than saving Princess Zelda from evil yet again. We would much prefer something that takes chances and dares to shock. We see a tragic love story. Link, the protector of Hyrule, embarks upon a quest forged in revenge after Ganon murders Zelda

So has anyone read his books?

I visited IGN since the N64.com days and read Matt's stuff religiously from 1997-2009 or so when he left.

IGN's Nintendo sections have never been the same since he's been gone.

Well this thread is incredibly mean-spirited and unnecessary. His TP idea isn't even that bad, to be honest.

I always liked Matt, hopefully he does well wherever he goes. He helped out with those CubeToon comics right?

Are we just here to piss on a man's work? Sorry if that's not what you're going for, OP, but this seems pretty mean spirited. Matt's reviews on old IGN were some of my favourites.

I don't think it's really in good taste, people grow and change over time, and maybe he's a really good writer. We also don't approve of "gaming detectives" digging into people's personal lives, which this thread somewhat encourages in a mean spirited way.
