Have you seen that some people are saying that Sony games are identical because of the third person camera?
bx7lgrfc2j401.jpg
Instead of argue about this or start complaining I think this opens a opportunity to make fun of this logic.
Post games that 'should' be considered identical "because reasons".

So, how to participate ?
Here is an exemple:

First contenders:

Nightmare Creatures vs Bloodborne
I mean, both have guns too
Batman Arkham Asylum vs The Last Guardian
Orphans walking close to vegetation. Sometimes they encounter animal life.

It would take too many pictures, so.

Die Hard Trilogy and every first person, third person and driving game since.

Wait I don't understand why there's a concerted effort aimed at making light of a real concern people have about Sony's first party output?

I was playing Gungrave Overdose a couple years ago in my university's game room (I used to bring my consoles with me during off times) and a group of underclassmen stopped to comment on what sort of "shitty Devil May Cry clone" I was playing.

What is wrong with the green and red Mario ? /s

Is the mustache ?

Please, don't be that guy. If you have any valid argument about this subject feel free to talk about it elsewhere. No one will stop you.

I'm surprised this thread is reopened. OP began with presuppositions and his argument is in bad faith.
None of the Sony games in that meme are identical. They are however, similar. This is an argument thread masquerading as a fun satire thread meant to shut down discussion of why certain Sony games are very similar in certain regards.

I mean, OP is claiming a subset of Sony games are not identical, but that's self evident. No two games are identical. What he's actually trying to say is that they're not remotely similar, wherein there is actually much room for debate. He fails to see how major aspects of the games share similarities and analogizes this dissimilarity to two comparisons of supposedly highly dissimilar games that can be misconstrued to be similar owing to a single screenshot comparison. The problem is that in one of his comparisons the games can indeed be argued similar owing to their genre, and in the other comparison the screenshots are obviously not even similar, and if you dive deeper Batman and Last Guardian share far, far less than the Sony games in question. His two comparisons, which are suppose to argue his logic without him having to construct a verbal argument, fails to prove anything about anything.

In the end, I think people should come to a consensus of what the word "similar" means before trying start fights about what is and isn't "similar". Similarity can mean a shared set of characteristics, in any noticeable capacity but not necessarily all encompassing. The dictionary definition of "similar", which is "resembling without being identical", or "having characteristics in common" is vague enough that there is room for discussion and debate. Genres and subgenres exist for a reason, and really there is no inherently negativity to certain works beings similar in certain ways.

I feel like this would be a less inflammatory thread if OP began with questions of an open nature rather than harsh stance that condemns critics who disagree with his veiled premise.
But since the mods demand that we contribute, then I will play OP's game of low hanging fruit:

The original argument is console warrior rhetoric, evolved out of the "I don't play cinematic games cause I care about gameplay" BS.

It deserves as much respect as "PS3 has no games" or "Nintendo makes kiddy games".

Because being third person games is not a legitimate complaint for similarities. Most games are third person

What about the dozens of other design similarities though?

Even putting the console wars thing aside, a lof of AAA games in general really are similar, just because their budget is so big they can't afford to not play it safe.

I think that the sony image can be easily explained because 3rd person cameras nowadays have very similar angles, and sony makes lots of 3rd person games.
