It is indeed a great game.
Fun and additive gameplay with awesome art style.

What's your point.
6 realms. 4 in the story, 2 are optional. My biggest disappointment with the game is that they present it as this grand Zelda style game with the 9 realms they show.....but you only go to 3 of them. Still a fantastic game, I was shocked when it ended. I felt like I was only a quarter of the way done with it. Also once a game ends for me it ends. I have zero desire to go get everything I missed.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Sony cinematic types of games, and borrowed my friends ps4 with this to play it and wasn't the biggest fan so far. I'm going to give it another shot though. But I gotta say these hot take threads on RE are starting to get super old... nothing against op I respect your opinion, but I don't get why every time someone doesn't like a highly praised game they have to make a thread of it, and further more idk why these threads get so much attention. It just turns into a console war thread in the end. Maybe it's just me

could've been worded differently, in a less click-baitty way. And didn't deserve a thread
WHY is this picture always brought up in Sony discussion?
All these games play very differently, yet they're the same apparently.
You're downplaying Baldur's role massively too to that of a wildling from Game of Thrones. I don't get it. Your talk of Atreus doesn't line-up with his character at all either.
I do agree on the 'princess in another castle' though. I don't think it hurt the game much though. Fair enough if you didn't enjoy it, but there is some unwarranted hyperbolic statements in the OP.
Not that but we have had plenty of separate threads for this game already like what can X learn from God of War etc. It's not just you. The game is two months old and there's an official thread for it; it's weird that someone makes a separate thread for a new game. I doubt people would be OK with everyone making a new thread talking about how it's a GOTY contender.
Those "looks like we can offer critique in ERA..." are quite funny with the way those posters think they're better than the thread shitter while offering nothing worth discussing. The substance of your post is usually the difference between a shitty thread and one that's conducive to discussion and well-reasoned arguments. Being hyperbolic, using meme images, and failing to elaborate on broad statements usually invite the kind of posts we're seeing here.
OP: Hated BOTW too.OP: I don't like this Sony game

That's my problem with threads like these. More often than not, they are extremely baity-y, as if the OP knows that his/her opinion can't stand on its own. The title, the use of that picture, his hyperbolic description of Baldur, the way he ends his post, ... It's like it was designed to bait this kind of reaction.OP: Hated BOTW too.
Result: 3rd world war.
Joking, but OP need to be more construtive without being offensive. Tittle/Don't use bait photos really help a good conversation.
You should play more action games, because nah. It's fine for what it's going for, but it's definitely not on the upper tier of action game combat systems. Not by any stretch of the imagination. One pet peeve I have with criticisms of the combat and the systems that support it is when people claim the these elements are redundant. They are one of the best I've experienced in an action game.
Which should be reflected upon by proper critic. GOW is awfully overhyped. Saying this as someone who finished the game just yesterday. It's an okay game at best, nowhere close to 90%+ meta average though. There's a crapload of issues even in its combat system which is pretty much the only thing it has which is being praised universally.
Didn't you know? Camera angles have to be revolutionary. If it's over the shoulder, it's the same as all other games with the same angle.
I hope they start using a camera angle from inside the main character's belly button. We need something fresh, something different.
I do love Sony exclusives... But that picture is pretty funny lol... I mean... It's not totally wrong
You're still missing it, your posts read as if Sony only makes these games which they clearly don't, and that's without talking about how wrong it's to call these games the same just because they have a strong story focus. You should really learn on how quoting works in a discussion before randomly accusing me out of the dark. I specifically even said "these experiences", while before defining these as "another singleplayer cinematic third-person game with its focus on narrative". You are in a thread about God of War. God of War fits to that description - as do many of the other games by Sony. Memes don't just create themselves out of nothing.
While that PlayStation template meme is on the same level like the "Xbox/Switch has no games" meme, there are always reasons at least in some form on why these memes even exist.
What i read here is that 94 on meta seems to piss people of the most.

Ohhhhhh are these sheeps stealing Sony's camera angles too?
You not liking the game doesn't mean other people are wrong. It has a 9.2 user rating on metacritic too.Which should be reflected upon by proper critic. GOW is awfully overhyped. I've gotta admit it's a bit deflating seeing Sony's primary audience all hitting their 30s/40s and Sony, naturally, doing their hardest to pander to them: all of their characters are becoming old, they all have a bond with some kid, and are the centre of a "mature story".
It's becoming depressingly boring, and the stories often aren't even that good. Nintendo tried the same with Mario Sunshine, and luckily, never did it again.
People got to get their hot takes in.
Animal Crossing coming to PS4

I don't think anyone can disagree that God of War is basically a modern AAA game 'greatest hits' compilation, because it is.
"Reads as if ...". I never said (and never meant) the things you are blaming me on. Period. You're still missing it, your posts read as if Sony only makes these games which they clearly don't, and that's without talking about how wrong it's to call these games the same just because they have a strong story focus.

Is that a spoiler? I haven't even finished the game and I'm pretty sure you just spoilt the big twist with some crappy joke :/I dunno...
I mean, do 30 year olds really read/watch 9gag and Rick & Morty? Seems like more of a Gen Z sort of thing.
Is that a spoiler? I haven't even finished the game and I'm pretty sure you just spoilt the big twist with some crappy joke :/
What? It's a reference to the fact that the youngest millennials are like 22/24. So OP is ranting about millennials for an kid whose age would stick him in GenZ.Is that a spoiler? I haven't even finished the game and I'm pretty sure you just spoilt the big twist with some crappy joke :/
You could have posted it on the GOW thread. You'd have gotten more insightful and condescending contributions
Oooor not everybody like popular game
