Do we have story details on this yet? I know it's "based on" Yellow, but is it meant to be a retelling of that story or an entirely new one?

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I think LGPE looks much better than SM (even in Citra).
Also I like the "big heads", it's not too much chibi and unlike Final Fantasy, for Pokémon the style fits.

I want to say that I actually like the rival. I don't mind him not being like Blue, my issue was primarily most new rivals looking lame on top of being friendly. This guy at least looks different and they said that he has different characteristics like easily getting scared, which is kind of funny considering his face looks a bit more intimidating (with angular and sharp eyes) compared to past rivals. I don't mind a kind of friendly rivalry like Joey and Yugi had, what I don't like is where the rival is just completely pathetic where they just butter you up and happily acknowledge you wiping the floor with them over and over, having no other purpose or emotions outside of validating the player.
What's with this "Friendly Rival" horse shit?! Gen 1 rival was a grade A asshole! Are they pulling some revisionist shenanigans with Let's GO?

I'm with you on this one, so I took a quick peek at Bulbapedia and apparently Nintetales is 3 feet tall and 44 pounds. I don't see it happening, unfortunately.
The trainer customization options and battle depth are the two big question marks for me.
Cerulean Gym is literally the only place shown so far that looks okay.
This is not brock's gym, this is the battle dimension they go when they have battles

Nah, I don't feel that way. Arcanine is supposed to be dog-like Pokémon and in real life riding on a dog would be weird. But not in Pokémon! Yeah, following is nice, but I would really loved riding.

Looks like the Cut Trees are back (First pic is outside Rock Tunnel, second is Viridian City, both match to Cut Tree placements of the old games).
Now the question is if you need HMs still to cut them down or not. You didn't need HMs in Sun and Moon, but you know Gamefreak and keeping liked features between games.
Sun and Moon had the best artstyle in the series and it's not even my favorite gen. Alola and the character are all so colorful and fresh, Let's Go is a clear step down.

I have the game and the Pokeball Plus pre-ordered. Thing is, I got the game for 50 CAD, but the ball for 65 CAD. It feels weird to have the ball be the more expensive item. I'm not sure if I'll keep it, but from what I heard, I won't be able to complete the pokedex without it... I'll make my decision closer to release I guess.
Misty lives with her older sisters at the Cerulean Gym and I don't think there's evidence that 10 year olds are allowed to gamble considering you have to get a coin case from some dude fed up with gambling rather than just getting one from the casino.

I definitely prefer the art style in Sun/Moon, but I don't dislike the "Let's Go" style as a result. Pokémon models are most important to me and those are spot on.
