I assume he's implying his relative celebrity makes him a target for spurious accusations and so he's hesitant to approach women.

How some of you could take "Henry wants to rape" from this I don't know.

I think what he's trying to say is that he doesn't want his flirting or advances to be misappropriated as creepy or damaging, and fears that some women might take such things the wrong way, especially given he's famous and expectations or pressure is slightly different. I find that hard to believe for someone like Cavill, but I guess because he's in the public eye he's extra nervous about how his advances may be perceived, that and as past interviews show, he is somewhat of a shy introvert.

But yea, very poor choice of words. Ironically it makes him sound even more weird and creepy lol.

User warned for pushing hostile false narratives + thread/community whining
wow @ this thread, holy shit.

He's not raping anyone for fucks sake, nor is he "red pilling" anyone either.

Jesus christ, where is the moderation? I'm going to leave this thread before I get banned or something.

I'm legitimately worried for some of you that honestly think if you merely try to flirt with a woman, you'll be accused of rape.

Like, you're one step removed from being Mike Pence.

I get what he says, see no issues. Maybe not communicated 100% as it should be but I get it. The outrage in this thread is absurd.

Your whole post says more about you than you realize.

I wonder how million of men are able to interact with women everyday without raping them.

Geez and the poor guy was starting to do well.

It's really an awkward way of phrasing he doesn't want to be falsely accused being in his position that is very public.

It's a far cry of straight up telling him to not rape people like he is already a rapist, Jesus guys.

You know when Superman talks about helping people, then knocks one through 5 fucking walls. This is the equivalent.

Henry needs to realize he just needs to walk around shirtless like in Man of Steel and he will just attract women.

I understand what he's saying: when in a powerful position, like being a straight white rich actor, it can be hard to flirt without making it look like he's taking some things for granted.

Still, he could have chosen better words.
Yeah, this is what I think he's trying to say but he could've definitely chosen to phrase it better.

He's not saying there's a similarity. He's just paranoid in the extreme.

Nah french. This wealthy man doesn't understand women, and has absolutely negative game.

You can see that when he says that he doesn't want to say hi to someone then have them accuse him of rape (and win some court case) which has never happened in the history of anything.

That ain't paranoia. That's ignorance.

Yeah I don't get that either. To me its fairly obvious that he is talking about being a potential target for false allegations given his celebrity and financial worth. But to be fair he does a pretty shit job of explaining what he means.

If he is really that worried he just needs to date other celebrities. Thats what most celebrities do to avoid these types of problems anyway.

What I thought as well. People jumping through hoops to get mad. Kind of reinforces the point he is trying to make, though he could have worded it much better.

Dude, the question is are you reading the thread?

Little to no one here is saying he's a rapist. Rather, they're judging him for poor phrasing as well as over-complicating the actual issue he's talking about.

Hmm weird Supes. If I was a celebrity I would definitely insulate myself when it comes to dating not out of fear of being called a rapist but more so I would want to identify one with other celebrities because I love money more than anything and two they would most likely be comfortable with a prenup. Nothing fucks with my money grind hard now to retire later.

There's something wonderful about a man chasing a woman.
yeah, I agree, I think
There's a traditional approach to that, which is nice.
okay, nostalgia angle, sort of get this. it's kinda weird to emphasize that it's old fashioned, because so is not letting women vote and slavery, but whatever
I think a woman should be wooed and chased, but maybe I'm old-fashioned for thinking that.
narrative is really faltering here, diction is predatory
Because then it's like: 'Well, I don't want to go up and talk to her, because I'm going to be called a rapist or something'.
you are doing it wrong, friend.

man this guy is kinda dumb honestly. not even really hateful, just dumb
