She is on track to become the youngest self made billionaire ever.

Just 20 when this story publishes (she'll turn 21 in August) and an extremely young mother (she had baby daughter Stormi in February), Jenner runs one of the hottest makeup companies ever. Kylie Cosmetics launched two years ago with a $29 "lip kit" consisting of a matching set of lipstick and lip liner, and has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since, including an estimated $330 million in 2017. Even using a conservative multiple, and applying our standard 20% discount, Forbes values her company, which has since added other cosmetics like eye shadow and concealer, at nearly $800 million. Jenner owns 100% of it.

Add to that the millions she's earned from TV programs and endorsing products like Puma shoes and PacSun clothing, and $60 million in estimated after-tax dividends she's taken from her company, and she's conservatively worth $900 million, which along with her age makes her the youngest person on the fourth annual ranking of America's Richest Self-Made Women

Instagram also helped Huda Kattan, 34, make our list for the first time this year, with an estimated net worth of $550 million. A makeup artist turned digital influencer, with 26 million Instagram followers, she started Huda Beauty in 2013 after three years of blogging about cosmetics. In December the company sold a minority stake to private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners; its recent $1 billion valuation translates into five times retail sales.

Jenner's massive and massively loyal following, however, puts her in a class of her own. The youngest daughter of Kris and Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Olympic gold medal decathlete Bruce Jenner), sibling of supermodel Kendall Jenner and half-sister of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, Kylie Jenner grew up under a microscope. The family's Keeping Up With the Kardashians first aired when she was just 10 years old, beaming her onto television screens in more than 160 countries. Steered by their mother, Kris, each scion had a moneymaking scheme, from mobile gaming (Kim) to modeling (Kendall) and even socks (Rob), but the teenage Jenner felt adrift.

For reference, Kim K is worth $350m. Kylie is on worth $900m.

I don't know if I'd rank her that high compared to other women on the list, she's got a built in advantage.

I dislike pretty much everyone in that family, but you gotta respect the hustle. Wonder if they're happy though. They never seem to be.

Hate them or not, Kris Jenner probably has a better mastery of the American tabloid media landscape than anyone else in the country. Her ability to keep the family relevant this entire decade is insane.

Yeah there's nothing self-made about this, you can track how she fell into success pretty easily.

No doubt she's rich as shit but don't try to sell me she worked her ass off and self-made her career on her own, Forbes.

Impressive even if she is not self-made. She saw a market of women and girls interested in beauty and she replicated other companies and used her face for marketing. I'm hoping she becomes a philanthropist soon.

Travis Scott stay winning.

Why are people upset about the self-made aspect? Plenty of rich kids that come from money just coast their entire lives spending their parents money but Kylie went out and made an empire that will likely surpass anything that anyone in the family will ever do. THAT IS IMPRESSIVE AF!

Edit: I will agree that self-made is a stretch but it's not as if she inherited a company that was already built, she made smart investments and chose the right partners and people to her company where it's at now.

I mean the cover of the magazine literally says. "Welcome to the era of extreme fame leverage"

You Americans have poisoned the world with this shithole family.
It's actually crazy how many people are willing to stan for these spoiled, undeservedly rich, post-surgery scions earning absurd amounts of money, like somehow wealth inequality is totally cool as long as it's a hip woman on social media.

I'm sorry. But this just sort of pisses me off. Someone from a family worth hundreds of millions used said fame and wealth to make close to a billion. Neat.

Hold up she's only 20? Feels like she's been in the spotlights for centuries. Stopped following her when it was only makeup she posted, but it obviously worked out well for her.

Jealous. Some here don't like that others are wealthy. Yes she comes from a already rich and famous family but if she worked to get where she is at now more power to her.

Why does that piss you off? Using the platform given to you to make yourself more money seems totally normal, and I'd say smart.

Im not knocking her because branding yourself like that at 20 is mind blowing but self made isn't the word. Took better advantage of her resources and position than the rest of her ilk.

Not bumming around isn't a major achievement. That's what 90% of the world who don't come from rich families have to do, and upward social mobility use to be common in the US until income inequality issues made it much more difficult. I'm not saying she hasn't achieved anything, but you underestimate how much of a significant advantage starting off rich gives you. Hell, you can start off rich, passively invest and become richer than other people will ever be without doing anything else
