Considering we don't even have DLC parity, I expect the worst.
Wait wait wait what? Are you just referring to say, a lack of Alloy from HZD skins (platform exclusive nonsense easily forgotten) or are you alluding to something much worse?

Always laugh at people who have enough money to build high end gaming PCs still bitching and drawing lines in the sand over 10 dollars.
lmao, one of the most succinct ways I've seen it phrased. The AUDACITY to launch six months later! Those corporate FIENDS!

Who has a CDKey site I can grab that shit thirty percent off day one? /s

So this is our first major Monster Hunter release on PC and people are whining it's full price?
Gotta complain about something beside Steam sale prices.

Fantastic game freed from consoles, can't wait to play into perpetuity long after PS5 launches!

What's that supposed to mean? You buy a 400€ box and a 500€+ TV and pay the online sub, that's no difference than buying a 1000 rig. Not only we had to wait for no reason, we also get the game more expensive later, nonsense.
They should have had it at the same cost the console version has now.

Got vouchers from GMG, I think I'm still going to wait for a deeper discount.

I wouldn't have a problem with the price if it came out at the same time as the initial release, that's just me though.

Open season here on PC gamers and more coming out of the woodwork to join in. Wonder how long I'd last if I took this attitude to other platform threads.

$51.12 (Deluxe) with the voucher at GMG not bad, but as someone said it doesn't mention the preorder bonuses. Will just cancel if that doesn't get updated by the end of the week since Capcom never even put that dlc up for sale.

And those clearly aren't the people they are going to build the pace of the game around.
There's no reason not to. It's just holding back content already in the PS4 version for no reason. Here's hoping the PC version at least gets future DLC monsters at the same time as the console versions.

30 fps with some dips at fake-4K res. There's also a 1080p mode with some better stuff like shadows that runs similary, and a +30 fps 1080p with less details (it runs around 40ish IIRC).

That being said all modes are actually unlocked so it can feel more jarring.
On the other hand this is a good reminder of just why they're saying 1080p/30fps as the Pro and 1060 are in the same ballpark. It simply is that demanding (or poorly optimized) across every platform, but on the plus side it probably means >=30 FPS rather than <=30.

Wasn't MT Framework godly when it came to PC optimization and performance?

Got the deluxe edition for $45 on GMG. Hoping it comes with the preorder bonuses like on Steam. The comment section on the product page says they are waiting on Capcom to respond but they're fairly confident they will have them.

Regarding the price: it's 60€ base price while it's 50€ base price on consoles. That absolutely is reason to be annoyed.

You don't see a problem when a company charges full price for a half a year old game with none of the DLC content while at the same time officially dropping the price of the console version that has all the DLC to $40?

You Capcom shills are something else.

I'm also somebody who has no problem whatsoever with paying full price for a game that's... 'half a year old'.

Monster Hunter World will be new for me. I don't own a console and I know absolutely nothing about the game or the series. Hugely looking forward to the release.

Is it really necessary to call people 'Capcom shills'?

Have all the GMG coupons been sent out or are they staggering it? I want one but have nothing in my email.

Every MT Framework game I've played has been really well optimized, so I'm hopeful that they are overestimating the system requirements a bit. My PC has an i5-3330 and my girlfriend's has an A8-5500. Both of us have 16GB of memory and 1050 Ti's, so hopefully we aren't screwed.

GMG updated their store page to include the Preorder Bonus. Will probably email to make sure there is no funny business since I ordered before the page was updated and the order itself in my emails doesn't say preorder/prepurchase.

Definitely double dipping on this next month. Hopefully with a 1060 6GB and an i7-8700 I can get this to 1080p/60fps on High.

Aand 2 Deluxe editions bought from GMG.

Damn... MH is getting expensive for me.

First I go and buy 3DS only for MH-games. Then I go and buy another PS4 Pro for my SO to be able to play MHW with her. And now just "quadruple"-dipped to buy 2 copies on PC to play it all over again with bigger friend base. Next up, gotta buy another Switch just to play MHGU with her.

No regrets.

Er...no. I mean I just wont buy at that price. At least I'll have the option down the road to buy it if the price matches my interest. When did your parents tell you that life is fair, and that PC games should never be priced more than console versions of games?

Capcom shill? LOL Only game I would miss if they went out of business is Dead Rising and that series looks...troubled as it is. Thats not because capcom makes bad games, they just arent my kind of genre mostly.

When did it become wrong to voice displeasure with business practices, especially since the game is overpriced in my region and the DLC support will be late? I don't know about you but I don't like to bend over for the pleasure of companies, nor do I like simply throwing my money away. If you grew up in an spoiled household where $80 is a drop in the bucket then bully for you but some of us appreciate the value of money.

Some posters here remind me of the people who bent over backwards to defend stupid Capcom decisions with their fighting games so that's the first term that came to mind. I'll probably get the game but I'm waiting to see where I can find it cheapest.

Bought on CDKeys for 34 euros, fantastic deal IMO. They're legit as far as I know, right?

Can't wait. I already bought it on PS4 but I barely touched it due to needing PS+ and also most of my friends being on PC. Hopefully it'll run at 60fps with high graphical fidelity (not necessarily maxed settings as long as it looks good) on my MSI GT62VR (i7 6700HQ, GTX1070).

Between Yakuza 0 and this, August can't come any sooner.

That's what led the PC market to not get fucked over by higher and higher prices, and to avoid having paid online like when MS tried to do that with GFWL.
But sure, I guess people could just be happy with how it works with consoles, paid online, and retail prices being higher.

Wonder if those CDKeys licenses will show up for USA before the GMG voucher expires.

Or does anyone have experience with CDKeys and buying EU licenses and them working elsewhere?

It's written on the store page if it's region locked somewhere. Steam keys are usually worldwide

No, they wouldn't go out of their way to clarify EU keys if they didn't only work in EU. At best, their source is from an EU seller so they're playing it safe by saying where it would work for sure.

So why some games are realeased months later on PC? Honest question

I can't think of any Western devs that still do that consistently besides Rockstar. The main ones that still do are Japanese devs and I'm chalking that up to being unfamiliar with the platform. Typically once Japanese developers has a PC pipeline, which the MWH developers definitely did not, the subsequent games are day and date.

Also just bougt it at cdkeys for €32.48 (with the 5% code from their facebook). Fantastic price. And yes, they are legit, never had any problems with them before. It even includes the pre-order bonuses this time, which is not always the case with them.

This port better be good. The only reason I never bought this game on console is because my friend I play Mon Hun with only has a PC.

Only Japanese dev that does it deliberately is Square afaik

So we know we aren't getting the new dlc monsters yet will we have all the fixes and QOL changes that were in titles updates so far?

Update for anyone holding off on buying via GMG: Looks like the page there has been updated to mention the Pre-Order items.

Been waiting for this release for a looooong time. My MH four man group since Gen 2 doesn't have PS4's so waiting for this thing to release on PC has been torture. If it didn't release by the time Double Cross came to switch we were going to say "fuck it" and jump ship. So glad it's on the way. Day One baby!
