God, I hate origin stories

Probably cause it's a one off. No multi film deal for this I imagine. That's what deterred him from other similar roles

One movie commitment bruh. I'm sure other stuff has interested him but when they came back with a 4-6 movie contract he was probably like "ya know what, nahhh."
I hope this #jokerverse gets its own version of Batman played by Josh Hartnett while the #dceu's batman gets mysteriously killed because Affleck went "fuck this" and Josh Hutcherson takes over as Robin while in the #quinnverse none of this really matters and Jaret Leto still plays the Joker so that both Jokers and the Birds of Preys and JokerMovie-Batman and also als The Batman from the #mattreevesthebatmanverse can finally meet in the #universescollide-event where, in a surprise twist Christopher Nolan appears and ends up personally shooting every single character in the head.
