They wanted people to know that they were doing burgers and now everyone knows.
The burgers will most likely stay on the menu. So not exactly. But like new coke, IHOP would like you to never speak of it again

The problem is that IHOPs only worthy platter is the Swedish Crepes and they decided to take that off the evening menu, so why even go
I tried their new burgers and they were not good at all. My fountain pepsi however was phenomenal

This whole thing got people talking about IHOP, which is exactly what they wanted. If anything, they did a good job.
