Realistically that's where my wife and I are looking (Shoreline/Mountlake Terrace/Edmonds/Lynnwood).

The north end is nice and quiet as long as you are out of the urban centers and with light rail coming (eventually, someday TM) commuting downtown will theoretically be a breeze.

Hi everyone! I'm someone from over at GAF but I changed my name here. Great to see everyone over here! I work at MSFT on stuff but live in Fremont/Wallingford. Not with Stinkles. But he wishes he could work with me.

Sit back and let me tell you a tale, that takes place in the 1990's. During the time of gangster rap and West Coast vs. East Cost, there two other warring factions; The Mill Creek Mafia and the May's Pond Posse. There were the kids who lived in the "rich" city of Mill Creek and their neighbors, the "poor" kids of a unincorporated, Snohomish County suburb called May's Pond. Both groups had to go to the same middle school, Heatherwood, and high school, Henry M. Jackson. Much like the Montague's and the Capulet's, it was just a bunch of white kids trying to be tough. Really it was nothing more then throwing gang signs and talking trash, but i like to pretend that it was a much bigger deal.

ilikesanta Haha, nice to know some of the schoolyard history. I've only lived up here for a little over 5 years. Grew up in the Covington and East Hill Kent area.

lol, sounds like a pretty common story, especially in the North End. You've got the sonud to the West and then Lake Washington to the East and then you've got the I-5 corridor and Highway 99 in between. Kids living in Richmond Highlands going to school with kids who live in an apartment above a bar on 99 lol.

We were pretty civil at my HS, with the popular kids being a mix of rich and poor but I heard bad things about some of the other schools in the area (Shorewood, Kamiak, Meadowdale.)

Any of you folks use the Sounder? I've got a fancy new job ( stealing jerbs! ) in SLU. Heard good things, but wanted to see if any of ya'all had any experience.

live in Bellevue, but spend most of my time outside work in Seattle proper where my girlfriend and most of my friends live.

This game is ridiculous.

I'm going to be so drunk with all the rally beers I'll need to drink.

Tomorrow was yesterday. ;-)

I'm going back up to Seattle for another handful of days, flying up tomorrow. Is there any big Halloween thing in Seattle?

[edit - I'm staying with a good friend in Capitol Hill, if that narrows things down any]

The big Halloween parties and events are normally on the weekend.

I'll just be taking my daughter Trick or Treating and handing out candy.

That game caused maximum shart. Seattle has a way of making all its wins supremely stressful to watch.

Houston was AMAZING.

I should be pleased that we beat a team playing as well as that, yet all I have is tense horror.

As a neutral party (not a fan of either team), that was a super enjoyable game to watch. I wish more NFL games could be fun like that.

Wow that is a stunning photo. Being originally from San Diego, after over 10 years, I still am amazed by the color changes!
Late to post, but that game was a roller coaster of awesome!

Not just an Issaquah bro, but apparently a Disney bro based on your username! My best friend used to live on the Plateau, but I was always near downtown. Still head up there occasionally when I visit for the Highlands theater tho (soooo much better than the old Regal we had growing up...)

agreed that theater is nice.. but if you are on the eastside i recommend checking the regal theater in crossroads bellevue. it has recliner leather seat and reserved seating. way way nicer than the highlands.. but highlands is only 5 min from my house so i go there 90% of the time.

did you go to HS in issy? (skyline?)

Oh yeah, I've been to Crossroads a bunch, though sounds like they've upgraded it since I was there last. And yep, IHS
