Warframe coming to Nintendo Switch (port by Panic Button)

Maybe they don't want to pay an extra $20 on top of that especially when the online solution is using a phone app.
Wolfenstein 2 drops to 360p before dropping much on the framerate I think.
Which is the right move though it makes things a little extreme...
Again:
-there's no indication about F2P games needing a subscription or not
-online works on fortnite without the app, same for voice chat directly through switch.
It's possible but I think id/MachineGames would be doing those if they are gonna be day and date.
But I more meant this specific project they were teasing to be announced this month would probably be an online non-Bethesda game.
Visuals are nice in the trailer but frame rate not good at all it seems, hopefully it changes by release (or with later updates). Also I think this is a game they need to tone down visuals more in favor of performance than usual, it's better for it to play well than look flashy (and its art stylish is stylish anyway so it can do without some effects and still look neat).
Fortnite doesn't use a phone app for voice chat or anything else.
What i will say is, if anyone is basing their opinion of this game on something they played 2 or 3 years ago, then you really need to try it again, its quite a different game now.
It's probably one of the best games I've ever played, but that's probably just down to my very particular tastes!!

In the past a Nintendo console was quite useless without purchasing some titles with it. This Holiday season i can see the system selling just based on being able to play Fortnite and co. on it. Smart.
Well if the consoles are going to lag behind on content that's fine, I'd be happy with just cross-progression with X1 (since Sony won't play nice).

Probably separate. Warframe on PC gets updates weeks ahead of the console versions. Don't expect your progression to carry over (they could surprise us though).
And funnily enough, the only time transfer your PC account was on PS4.
Plains of Eidolon and the new Venus location are the areas I'm concerned about. Thigns obviously got patched on the PC but not sure how console turned out. I think the rest of the game should be just fine though. I assume this is going to be 30fps though which will take some getting used to so since Warframe is so fast but if DOOM and Wolfenstien 2 can still feel very fast even at 30fps I'm sure Panic Button should be able to do okay here.
Because this was announced at the Warframe convention, for the fans.
More important for the studio than a nintendo direct where it would have gotten lost.
I should really give warframe a shot, guess I may as well start now, especially if the account works on Switch and PC

The original game is very well optimized AFAIK, and given Panic Button's growing experience with Switch development, their previous history of improving performance between first showcase, final release and patches (see Digital Foundry's Doom and Wolf 2 analyses), and Digital Extremes very high standards and care for the game, it'll probably be a well-made port. It has no release date and they're not showing it on stream, so the port is probably nowhere near done.
Besides, while the open world sections of the game might be harder to port, the rest of the game is made of corridors and fairly small rooms. They can probably get some great performance out of the system.
Let's hope they push for 60fps. This game needs it. I doubt they would halve the framerate.
I'm not sure how the current console versions run, but Warframe (outside of Plains of Eidolon) runs insanely well on most hardware. Even my laptop with integrated graphics can get 60 FPS at 720p, so I wouldn't be too worried about the performance.
You wouldn't really want that. PC updates come in HOT, and they need to be able to update rapidly to fix bugs and mechanics that aren't working as intended. Having to wait for console cert for that would have a significant detrimental effect on the development of the game.
Ain't that a shame. I'm all in for this holiday. I've been really fighting the urge as of late with all the news. I've been a good boy and been working to pay off my car, waiting for bundle news for this holiday.

They have been very generous to let devs announce on their own time table
I think it runs 60fps on regular PS4 with some drops iirc.
Definitely curious how this will look and run undocked.
Edit:nvm it has unlocked framerate but doesn't hit 60 often

What difference does it make when the game is announced as it comes out?
