Seeing how Capcom needs Sony's support to develop a new Street Fighter, how do you see them having the moneyfor the Star Wars license, or to develop a AAA game using it.

Not to mention that Disney and Capcom may have a somewhat strained relationship after how MvCI turned out...

Nah EA won't let that license go. You'll get your perpetually delayed action/adventure game and whatever multiplayer shitshows they can churn out to bleed folks via micros and you'll like it.

Disney + Capcom? Nope.

And EA won't lose the SW license that easily and no big publisher will outbid EA.

Lead designer was Shinji Mikami, who would go on to create Resident Evil :P He worked on a couple of other Capcom games based on Disney properties too.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN USING EXAMPLES OVER 20 YEARS OLD IS CHEAP!?

They also did that DMC-like The Nightmare Before Christmas game in 2004.

You're forgetting Duck Tales 1 & 2, the awesome Mickey - The Magical Quest trilogy, Darkwing Duck and the proto Resident Evil aka Goof Troop.

I think you're missing the point here. The Disney + Capcom relationship is probably strained after MvC:I.

My argument wasn't entirely serious, but Marvel and Disney (and Star Wars) are different things, as stupid as that sounds. While it's obviously not going to help their chances, those properties are managed by completely separate teams.

I'll add that I don't think this is a thing that will ever or should happen.

Disney is going to allow a survival horror game around Star Wars? Yeah not seeing it regardless of any contracts.

The Star Wars universe is just too limited for that. A horror game simply wouldn't gain anything of merit by being set in that universe other than recognizable iconography. If anything it would just hamper the experience.

Michael myers type game but with sith lords would be pretty good. They would be like the tyrant of the game

Well they could always repurpose the Star Gladiator series if they couldn't get Star Wars again :V

With how many nasty alien creatures there must be in the Star Wars universe I think zombies would be the most boring choice for a survival horror game.

The title had me interested until..."zombies trooper". I cant think of anything I want less than another zombie game.

So instead of EA, Disney should go to the EA of Japan. Seems legit.

I think Ubisoft is the best option for Disney right now: they are a big company, they have the resources to make this happen, they have their ideas on how to make an open world game: they all feel samey, but the overall quality is often good.

They could even reuse some of the assets from Starlink: Battle For Atlas.

Making a Star Wars horror game seems silly, I do not care if there are novels that explore the concept.

I only want to see Disney and Capcom together if they're making Magical Quest 4, no interest in Star Wars games, I like Capcom's IPs way more than that. A survival horror God Hand sounds more interesting than a survival horror Star Wars to me.
