One of the best sight-gags in modern tv history.
Cheers, Frasier, Roseanne, Seinfeld, I love Lucy, MASH, The Dick van Dyke show, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore all have laugh tracks and are among the best comedies ever made.This. I can't stand laugh tracks. The best comedy shows don't have laugh tracks.
I think the British humour may be lost in translation here though.
The IT crowd introduced me to Richard Ayoade and that man is a goddamn treasure.
IT crowd is awesome. Even my little girl love it lol. I think the British humour may be lost in translation here though.
I'm from Texas. I find the show, and Father Ted, both hilarious.
EDIT: Re: aussie humor is funny, too. I love Summer Height High.
That episode is an absolute treasure. The show is a treasure.
They're all pretty funny, including Ja'mie and We can be heroes. I still think Summer Heights High is the funniest.
Limmy show is another great show. Completely different, but my god his Mr. Mulvaney sketches alone make it worthwhile. The Star Bar one is something I have to just go back and watch sometimes.
Not to mention when the fire extinguisher catches on fire and Moss looks and see's the made in Britain logo.
Now I want to watch again lol.
Spaced is god-tier, yeah:Try Father Ted, it's the same writer but a less hit and miss and the characters are a little more believable (a little...)
If you're looking for more British comedy, you could try Spaced. No laugh track, a bit more modern, the jokes can be quite subtle and it's directed by Edgar Wright!
The IT crowd introduced me to Richard Ayoade and that man is a goddamn treasure.
America, literally, made The Big Bang Theory.
One of the top 10 best episodes of TV comedy ever made.
