For those unaware, there is some ambiguity surrounding the character's gender. For those in the know, how do you interpret Poison's gender?

Neither, really. I've always been more concerned about the movesets and whether they cater to me. If I had to answer what they look like, I would say female.

I don't think it's ambiguous that she's female.

To clarify, as I understand it, the difference is whether or not she's gone through the sex change process. She still identifies as female either way.

Based on appearance one would assume female.

Based on the history behind the actual character and censorship about violence against women which caused the issue the whole thing is a bit nutty but yeah female.

She's a transwoman. Capcom actually consulted GLAAD to make sure her representation in SFxT was ok iirc.

There are ZERO question whenever her gender is female

The only question is if she is post op or pre op trans woman

She was created to be a trans woman since the original arts for the arcade game

Female, trans or whatever the story/cutscene says, female. If she wanted to be a guy I'm sure she would appear as a guy.

Whatever the Capcom artists intended her/him to be. Theres no interpertarion of any kind when the artist has already said what gender it is.

Nope

the urban legend is that she was cis in the original release and was changed to trans because nintendo didn't allowed to beat on cis woman.

on reality in concept stages for the arcade she was already trans and the snes version does not feature her sprite
