I thought this would be an interesting thread because I think I literally just had my longest. I have been playing FFXV a lot recently and just got into such a zone with it that I played for 8 hours straight.

God damn Zegnautus Keep went on for fucking FOREVER.

It might just be because I'm very tired but I can't recall a longer single session ever in my gaming life. I've always tended to go in 4/5 hour spurts.

17 hours on the original Gran Turismo completing endurance races. Thumb was bleeding, was not fun at all, still have no idea why I did it.

19 hours. I went through Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in one session. That was some crazy shit.

EDIT: A very good friend of mine did a 36-hour session the night/day Monster Hunter Tri came out in Europe.

Nothing crazy compared to many people but around 7 hours for me a couple times, for Blades of Steel on NES and Snatcher on Sega CD.

During the height of Final Fantasy XI's popularity I would routeinely play 12 hour sessions during weekends, holidays and summer breaks. I'll never play as much a single videogame again in my life.

I played Uncharted 4 for about 12 hours straight when it came out. I felt like pure filth... but it was so good.

I think I played Smash Bros Brawl for 14 hours straight. Might have had a Halo 2 session that lasted 10 hours or more.

I can't remember exactly how long it was but I played Dota 2 for over a day once (with pee/food breaks and such obviously, I'm not an animal)

Has to vanilla WoW at release. It was my first MMO and as a Warcraft fan I was completely captivated. I think I played 16 hours straight at times. Once I hit level 60 and starting raiding Onyxia and Molten Core with 40 people it was 8+ hour sessions. Looking back I can't even imagine myself doing this today. I top out at 3-4 hours.

I never played that many hours sequentially, I think, I take too many breaks. Recently (last year) I remember playing like 8 hours of Persona 5 in the same day, but it wasn't all at once.

The biggest uninterrupted I remember is Hotline Miami. I got home like at noon, started playing and when I realized it it was already dark.

12 straight hours when The Warriors came out with a friend of mine. The only time we stopped was to eat pizza or use the bathroom.

GTA:SA. it was summer vacation and I basically was playing the game all day. I'd say that was something like 12-14 hours at least for several days.

played RE4 non-stop until I had to switch discs, realized I had to pee so bad, walked hunched to bathroom, stood up straight (after pulling down pants, etc) and it became a involuntary action. Not my proudest moment, it was about 10 hours? Literally didn't stop from the pressing start to grab food or take a break or anything. :(

I got laid off from the 70 hour a week night shift job I'd been working for a year after 2 weeks of varied shift hours so when I got home after being laid off I played Bloodborne which had been out a few weeks for 30+ hours until I passed out lol.

I think I did a 30 hour session on a WoW xpac launch once. During another I took 2 weeks off of work and played 16 hours a day the whole time.

I'm glad I dont have the time for gaming like that anymore....

As a kid on a school trip to Venice, I finished Pokemon Red or Blue on the coach in a single sitting.

Probably a Halo 2 session during its prime. Probably from like 8AM-12AM. 16 hours?

I was logged into a single session of Final Fantasy XI for 38 hours straight. I only took breaks to eat and go to the bathroom, otherwise that's entirely where my focus was for 38 hours.

I only went to sleep because I start hearing whispering that wasn't actually happening.

I was a Sophomore in high school.

Outside of that, I've probably put in 10 hour full days into games, as recently (and coincidentally) as Final Fantasy XIV last summer.

I love the FF MMOs so much. Well, XIV after A Realm Reborn, anyway.

18 hours when Ocarina of Time came out. I don't think I ate or drank anything during that time either!

Probably without breaks, around 6 hours on a zombies easter egg in CoD. With breaks for food and stuff, probably like 15 with Horizon Zero Dawn I think. I redboxed it over the course of 4 days and platinumed it

Somewhere between 12 and 14 hours for all 3 Mass Effects were common for me. Though session length is pretty high, 6-10 hours, for all the games that I seek out and want to play.

I only went to sleep because I start hearing whispering that wasn't actually happening.

It happens to me too when I stay awake for more than 20 hours, that's more exhausting than the actual exhaustion. I think the max I did was 35 hours but I was hearing and seeing things that weren't real so I freaked out and went to sleep.

I would say a "safe" guess is in WoW when I was in HS without much to worry about on the weekend.

Several times I would wake up at 5am and play without logging off till around 8pm at least. Would of course eat, restroom, etc. but it would be just constant play session.

Back in the day I didn't have a memory card for my PlayStation and I had just rented Spyro 3. I played it for 13 hours straight trying to beat it.

About 6 to 8 hours playing Halo CE all the way through back when it first came out. That was a thing I do not regret staying up all night for on a school night nonetheless.

Mass Effect 2 on PC. Pretty sure it unlocked early thanks to a VPN.

Played it for 36 hours straight, beating the whole thing about 100%.

Never again.

I'm pretty sure I played stuff for far longer when I was a teenager, but I remember playing Metal Gear Solid 4 for something like 14 hours when I got it with my PS4, I distinctly remember only stopping because my head was killing me. Most recently I remember taking the rest of the week off when I got an early copy of Phantom Pain, bought pizza and played it for around 9 hours until I nearly passed out, good times.

I remember being extremely hooked to Ace Attorney 3 during my freshman year at university too, I was on the last case and thought I didn't have that much left... I played for like 7 hours until finishing it and by the time it was like 6am and had to get up in an hour to go to class, good times.

Now that I think about it, trying to remember doing this when I was a kid, MGS1 comes to mind. I used to beat that game over and over to uncover every secret and unlockable... Man, I sure used to like Metal Gear a lot.

Man, these are oddly fond memories.

About thirteen hours on Phantasy Star Universe. I had recently started playing the game and was underleveled, so my friend wanted to help me powerlevel and get better gear. We never meant to play for that long, but next thing we knew it was 4:00 am. We had so much fun with that game, despite its issues.
