I am really wondering who thinks that this Drogoz rn. is balanced and fair character in this game. I really want to know who is allowing this.

His DMG with right cards and lowered cooldowns is insane. I know that he requres little more skill compared to some other DMG champions but Drogoz is just broken.


Also i am really not sure why are some of you bothering with Competitive in this game?? Like... why would anyone do that to themselves? Play quick games for quick fun and that's it. 80% of my games ppl don't give two fucks about roles and objective in this game. I can only imagine how frustrating Competitive can be.

Strix is ridiculous sometimes...

It's just frightening to play against him. One moment it'll be 5 vs 5 then suddenly your team will be 2 champs down without any warning, and you're wiped.

I don't think he's broken personally. I mean maybe this is because I play this on PS4 but there are a lot of characters that counter Drogos really easily. He's extremely powerful but I'd say he's also perhaps the easiest champ to kill. He has slow mobility and no escape. Cassie can roll away, Victor runs etc.

Furia, Lian, Strix, Kinesa, Victor, Tyra are all pretty good counters to drogos, they can output similar DPS on a single target to him and they all have hitscans with no significant damage falloff.

A lot of flanks destroy him too. Maeve for instance, I find extremely difficult to hit with Drogos on console. Movement speed Lex is impossible to hit too. The rest of the flanks are probably a pretty even matchup, again this is where the lack of a meaningful movement utility to escape hitscans really hurts drogos. Characters like Cassie can escape someone hitting her on the flank and put the fight back into a position where she's at an advantage, but Drogoz struggles to do this against hitscans. Some people like the forward boost on thrust as you can use it to get over and away from your opponent, but it doesn't work at high levels of play.

I've seen a pretty great Drogoz melt my team. He's harder to hit when he's up in the air, or something's funky going on with his hitbox. I'm not sure. Another character that feels a little OP to me is Buck. High mobility, high damage, quick self-healing.... ???

Drogoz's only brokenness right now is his Fusillade card, IMO. His rockets used to be slower, so direct hits weren't as viable, but now he can do easy 1,000+ damage per shot, two-shotting a large number of the cast.

He's supposedly getting a nerf to that talent next patch though, while getting a buff to Reign of Terror (which is great, 'cause I love RoT).

His weakness is his utter slowness without the W.Y.R.M. Jets talent. If a Drogoz isn't wise, flying into the air can leave them as a coverless sitting duck, especially to full auto hitscan camps or those with auto-aim abilities like Lex or Lian.

People really overrate Lex's auto-aim ability. It's literally only worth using to finish someone off instead of reloading. 1100 damage in 1.4s is not a lot of damage at all.

It leaves Lex really vulnerable, and deals lower dps than his default attack. If anything, the fact that he doesn't have a good damaging ability is what makes Lex a fairly mediocre Flank. His slide is okay as a getaway, and his justice mechanic (wallhack stuff) is neat, but he doesn't have anything decent to help secure a kill (e.g. Bucks slow) or to finish someone else with (Maeve burst damage). Drogos only has to get one shot on Lex while Lex is doing his stupid 1.4 second attack to even out on damage.

Oh, I'm not saying Lex is overpowered or anything, no. I wouldn't say it leaves a player terribly vulnerable, however. One big advantages of using his autoaim against Drogoz is that it allows him to keep completely mobility focused while he shoots, and he's already got some of the best strafing in the game. Helps you to dodge those rockets (though less so than before the buff).

Definitely more of a finisher move, of course.

As for Lex's DPS, you can buff his baseline DPS a great deal with the right talents, and it's--IMO--already quite strong. But his real strength is in juking and duelling.

Yeah for sure, though I don't think Lex's strength in juking and dueling tends to hold up at high levels of play. Lex has the second lowest winrate of any Flank in the game, only second to Skye, who outright sucks.

To be fair, Lex is one of the starter Champions, meaning noob players are more likely to be using him, affecting his win rate in a negative way. I haven't used him in a while, but he was one of my best champions, Ranked or no. Paladins Guru tells me I've got an 84% win rate with him across 43 matches, whereas my average is 60%.

I NEED new Moji skin. Please it's not fair for her to not have any skins since release.

Actually, on my PC, when I'm viewing skins for champions, the skin loads within a second. That being said, you are probably correct in that the internal memory for the Switch won't make a difference. Ah well, thanks to the Switch version I discovered that I enjoy this game and will probably just continue with the PC version.

I'm just struggling with the 8-10 minutes it sometimes is taking to get a ranked game on Switch. This normal for other platforms too? I play at night and sometimes I'm half asleep when I finally get into a queue - and then like half the time, the match STILL doesn't start because someone doesn't press A to confirm/start a match. Maybe they fell asleep too waiting on a match..

It's about the same on Xbox. I think it will get better tho once it goes fully open on Switch and more players are playing ranked.

Just had a compt match where we had 3 healers, two DPS and no frontline. Like what do people think?

I wonder if they could provide some sort of incentive for making a good selection. Perhaps you could get an xp bonus if your team starts a game with one of each class type.

Because it is stupid at the moment. So many players seem to play this game as if they exist in some sort of vacuum.

That's not anything new. OW and many other MP games have exactly the same problem.
OW is trying to fix it tho. With new LFG feature... two years later.

Yeah of course.

Shouldn't the commendation system help with Overwatch too?

I think OW is going to have it as a more persistent problem because the issue there is that people are switching all the time, so they fuck the team comp up on the fly at any time.

Eh, I find more often than not though that OW comps get fixed more often than they get screwed up. It still sucks at char select when they're bad, but at least at SOME point someone will swap to a healer or tank usually.

Yeah, my characters in paladins have always been grouped into "complete pleb no skin" and "managed to RNg into a skin I may or may not even like but at least I have one"

Also just played my first ranked game ever despite owning it since it first hit. everyone I like was banned or picked, so went with terminus. Man, he's a ton of fun. When he came out is right around when I last played, so I only had like 1 game with him prior.

I miss the beginning what's all coming with 1.3

If you get a great healer with Terminus, he's so unstoppable. Such a great tank and most players don't know how to deal with him.

I mean, 1 game is not much for me to go on, but it sure felt that way. I died once right near the start because we had a bloodbath with all but 1 player dead on both teams, and I died one time later on purpose to use my ult and clear the point, and that was it. like 25 and 2 or some nonsense. idk I can't see the game in my history, but what a load of fun.

EDIT: lol nm. next game was the 'guys that won't communicate in team chat during picks/bans' when I'm first pick. Picked terminus again. 2 dps 2 flanks. k cool. Sometimes gaming on the internet makes itself very hard not to become toxic.

I think his shield is cheap, though. Because it provides the opponent with no clear feedback on when it's going to go down, like the other shields in the game (whereby you see health of the shield and it gets destroyed when that health is depleted). Terminus' shield hitbox is also problematic, as it occupies a huge cone in front of him and it's not quite clear where bullets will pass through, and where they won't. When your at his side, sometimes it's hard to hit him when it looks like you should be able to.

Best counters are Makoa, Androxus and Jenos, as they have moves that pass through the shield. You can get an incredible amount of damage through his shield with Androxus by using reversal on Terminus' ultimate attack. 3000 damage right back at him, and he'll usually die all over again.

They are teasing this new champion way too much. I thought that he will be revealed by now...

Also that new Damba skin looked cool from the teaser i hope that it will be part of the new Battle Pass.

Been playing this a bunch this morning. It really feels so different from OW, quite fun.

Today i had some really shitty games.

-Seris crying because "no one is protecting her", and just standing near the spawn doing nothing for 3 rounds.

-Pip never healing anyone, trying to play as Flank and dying all the time.

-Both Srix and Kinessa in my team staying who knows how far away from the objective doing literally nothing...

RIP.

So anyone else get a ton of crashes? I can't wven get into a game today on Xbox. Once in a lobby I crash and then hires gives me a deserter penalty like I had a choice. Up to an hour now.

Boom Boom Moji with good healer in the team is literally unstappoble.

I had a match today where i cleared the other team in few seconds... 3 times.

Picking this game back up for the first time in a year.

Seems like it has the same problem as Smite where 80% of the player base is mentally deficient. I'm not sure I want to invest the time if the matchmaking and player base is going to be so horrendously bad.

Idk. I finished mjy placements in gold so I'm just 'done' for the season, thankfully, but aside from the game where you'd just get people picking whatever they fuck they want with no communication, I ALSO had multiple games (Every loss that I had) where we'd lose the first team fight and someone would go full 6 year old tantrum mode and sit in spawn or just start feeding while cursing everyone out. It was pretty fucking toxic.

I've dealt this this shit in Smite for years, I'm not going to start playing another game just to deal with it all over again.

Weird. It's never been that bad for me on PC. I know some people give up after they feel like they're severely outmatched but that has been exceedingly rare in my experience.

It's actually a common strategy for pip play a flank role and he is pretty good at it but it is disappointing to see a solo healer choose to flank rather than fill the role only they can fill.

QM is always a double edged sword. You get into the match quicker and have a pretty high chance to play what you want and you don't have to worry about composition as much. Ranked is where you go when you want a very well rounded team more often, but you may not get what you want to play since it's draft.

Lately I've enjoyed deathmatch for QP over siege. I'm just getting back into the swing of things again though.

Ok this is bugging me. If my team has 3/4 points and we successfully defend the cart why doesn't that count as a win?

You can only win on offense or capturing the point because defending is easier.

Is it just me or do your games get stealthily filled with bots as you're levelling and playing with other new players in non-ranked games? I've won like 10/11 games and it was NOT because I played well at all, opponents were just running straight into us while we played as a team. It felt obvious that something was up.
