It's remarkable how people will find a way to shit on the Xbox no matter the subject.
Can you please bold the part where I'm shit on the Xbox? I specifically said is not a real a 4k native hardware and MS shouldn't spit out such nonsense because it barely matter if it's native or less.

Don't be so gullible, people. Marketing will use "4k" or "Native 4k" because it's -technically- correct in regards to the final output resolution. It doesn't mean the game will render at 3840x2160.

The fact that PS4 Pro and Xbox One S are listed right beside it makes it really obvious that this is not correct.

We seem to go through this a lot with new releases now, then inevitably at release the games are analyzed to render below 4k, have resolution scaling, etc. Don't trust marketing materials when it comes to anything relating to 4k. Wait for an analysis at launch for the deets.

I see nothing wrong with calling it a 4K game if it uses a reconstruction technique to reach that resolution. I consider HZD and GoW 4K games and those games look nice and clean on my TV. Native 4K is nice but I'm not going to look down on a game because it uses reconstruction or dynamic resolutions to reach a solid performance.

The point is: the Xbone one X has the power to offer 4k native but in more limited scenario compared to the ps4 at 1080p because is more balanced. Why are you angry exactly?

That hasn't really been the case though. If we look at 1080p targeted games on the PS4 and the counterparts targeting 4K on the 1X, none have graphical effects lowered or cut to reach those higher resolutions. The balanced part of your post makes no sense in relation to the point you're trying to make.

I understand everything you're saying and think I get your point, but you're presenting it horribly here.

It won't be, but the One S can actually output a 4k signal, unlike the OG PS4. So your tv doesnt have to do the upscaling.

It's only used for movies and streaming services when it comes to actual 4k content, though.
Do you mean the base PS4 wouldn't be able to run a game at 4K even if it's possible for the hardware?

It's not. I'm not quite sure why the title was changed to that but that art for Anthem in the OP is misleading.

If it's referencing being able to watch the video at 4K, then the base PS4 wouldn't be able to do that while the X, S and Pro can.
Isn't it official material though?

Funny to see people spitting on the Xbox One X when it delivers better than Ps4 Pro
Some Microsoft hate here huh?

Xbox One X is by far the best console hardware wise, it's not really an opinion at this point.

It came out a whole year after the most recent release of a console besides switch so yeah naturally it should havr better hardware. It would be a travesty if it didn't especially at the msrp. As far as exclusive game well.. you have to wait for the Xbox One Y or Xbox Two.

To clear up confusion in the wording, this does not seem to say that Anthem will run in 4K resolution on any console. All this promotional material appears to say is that if you want to watch the native 4K resolution of the game footage presented in YouTube video, you can do so on the Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and PS4 Pro. Because this thread appears to be made on faulty premises, we're locking this thread up.

If there new news regarding performance and resolution on Anthem, you can make a new thread for that at that time.
