New trailer here.

I have always been a sucker for this show and as Netflix moves forward without Frank/Spacey I think there's a real opportunity to return the series to the quality of the first two seasons.

Curious about everyone's thoughts/reactions.

Those first two episodes are going to be some of Netflix's most watched eps of the show in how they deal with explaining Frank's prolonged "disappearance"

Show seems pointless without getting to see the total downfall of Frank.

Even if/when Claire falls it won't be nearly as satisfying.

Seriously. Wasn't his eventual downfall the entire point of the show? I checked out after season 3, when it was obvious they were going to drag this out for as long as possible, but for the first few seasons I was really interested in how everything would come crashing down around Frank.

Guess we'll never see that.

Really not sure why they're even bothering with this.

Just having Frank conveniently disappear out of existence is going to be nonsensical and defeats the purpose of any kind of payoff we'd be expecting in seeing their downfall.

That's true. I'm not pining to have Spacey back or anything, but Frank was an evil man it would have felt good to see him self destruct and fall. No matter how they do his fall now, it's going to be a clean cut. I'm going to assume he dies in an accident.

I'm really happy about this especially after last season. I hated Claire for the first few seasons but she has really become great in season 4 and 5.

They should have just uploaded one more episode of everyone flipping off a picture of spacey and called it the finale.

Show has been on a downward slide since Willimon left as the showrunner, without Frank's character and no clean exit for him, I'm having a hard time getting excited at all for the final season, but I'll check out at least the first episode to see how they attempt to keep the train on the tracks.

I suspect Frank will meet the same fate as his counterpart in the British version, but having Claire in a position of power at that time makes it much more interesting.

Meh. I would only be interested if they actually showed Frank's downfall. Even if they had to recast him for an episode or two. Claire has been a pretty terrible character for the entire run of the show.

We had a thread about this back in March, when the trailer was released
