Hope it's like cyber slueth but with a better translation. Also cyber was fun and charming but 2/3 of the game felt like anime filler episodes. So a cleaned up story would be nice.

Probably just another mobile game but hopefully that console game they talked about during the release of the cyber sleuth expansion thingy.

Well, they say they're also talking about the latest information on smartphone games, so that kind of implies the new thing isn't a smartphone game.

Well, they already hinted that they were working on a proper sequel to Cyber Sleuth even before Hacker's Memory was released. So, I'd expect them to make good on that promise now.

Besides, Digimon ReArise (for mobile) already came out like a week ago.

Hope its not a Cyber Slueth. Tired of all that fanservice and annoying sound effect. Much prefer the old art style digimon.

Are Cyber Sleuth and its sequel worth playing? Didn't really hear much about them after they came out

Digimon looks nice in the 3d artstyle plus a story that is somewhat involving (if not a bit too ambitious to its own end), though the budget and Vita upbrinings show heavy in the visuals and environments. It's not a great looking game, but I think anyone that enjoys Digmon could find something from it.

I completed the sequel, Hacker's Memory, recently and, while not bad per se (better main cast chemistry, more Digimon), it's simply falls short by being too damn similar. Forgettable music tracks return, the same art style returns, most of the locations from the first game return, the story is different but many elements (some of which aren't great) return. It's clearly meant to be a stopgap game and it shows. Even though I played Cyber Sleuth well over a year or two prior, I did not really appreciate the return to memory lane.

So yeah, it's worth choosing one and playing it (since the stories take place at the same time, there's not too much you really miss playing one over the other). But playing both, or at least spending time doing sidequests and making your ultimate DIgimon team in each, brought me major burnout. I just want one created from a whole new core with better, new character/environmental visuals to boot.

Edit: Oh yeah, as said afterwards, the localization is wonky and the dungeons are just a means of having one (like in many JRPGs) in both, neither killed the game for me. It's just unfortunately weird.

Crossing fingers for a new Cyber Sleuth. My favorite Digimon game series.

I want some new digimon story, new digimon world remake is also welcomed. Now that i mentioned it, it seems digimon world 3 was supposed to be digimon story. I wish they would expand a similar theme to that

Hacker's Memory wasn't too much of an upgrade, so I'm hoping they just pushed it out so we could be satiated until they finished whatever this turns out to be. I'm expecting this to be a World more in the veins of the old games instead of another Cyber Sleuth like game. Can't wait.

Here's hoping it's a suped up actual sequel to Cyber Sleuth. Hacker's Memory was great for what I played of it, I just felt a tad burnt out from all the recycled environments. Will definitely go back and finish that one up though.

I'm expecting a Digimon World game rather than a new Digimon Story game. Of course it could be another game based on Adventure.

Am I the only one who would be really happy if they announced another game in the World series?

CS' didn't do it for me, the character progression gets repetitive after a while, the catch em all factor becomes kinda pointless once you realize every Digimon can envolve into any Digimon, and the animey dialogues were insufferable.

I love World's enviroments and the sense of adventure and progression.

Holy hell that's sooner than I thought, please let this be a Digimon World.

There's dozens of us!

I enjoyed CS well enough but mostly because it had been A WHILE since the last localization and well, it was a decent enough games with pretty models. Still it's a fairly mediocre turn based RPG with (mostly) bad anime writing and while the sequel improved this a bit, it reused way too much and improved too little mechanically so I dropped it.

Next Order was wonderful in comparison and is a much more solid game. Then again I vastly prefer World games in general.

I love exploring the world in World 3. Issues were the far too simplistic battle system and the loads of backtracking.

That can be fixed via fast travel (since its standard now) and they can just build off the cybersleuth battle system.

Ideally I'd like a more engaging combat system similar to SMT/Persona.

Hoping it's the new Digimon Story game built for the PS4. Also hoping it's not in the Cyber Sleuth sub series. I loved Cyber sleuth but I really want them to try a different aesthetic for the new game.

Please be something new! I enjoyed Hackers Memory but it didn't really offer anything different.
