New art to make it look less like a ghost and more like a real beast.
Mountain Giant and Molten Giant being elementals seems like a decent buff to those cards. They are definitely still seeing play in Standard, and absolutely see play in Wild. Interesting choice. Too bad they undercut it by not changing Arfus. Either be consistent or don't! If he's spectral then he isn't a beast!! SMH.

Are there any negatives to being Elemental? Nothing your opponent can play that hurts them specifically, right?
Spiteful summoner decks
Though there was one time when it burned all 4 of my priest spells and put spiteful summoner on board.
I've said it plenty of times but I wish Blizzard would stop enabling decks where, if they draw all their cards, they are virtually guaranteed to win. The existence of those decks ruins the balance of this game. Whether it's freeze mage, Shudderwock, taunt Druid, or whatever stupid Alex/Malygos decks pop up, it just pushes everything toward the rock paper scissors meta that I despise.
Dirty rat was our only real tech against these sorts of decks and they didn't replace it. I just hope that the next expansion introduces a way to stop battlecries, which have become more and more out of control over the years.

Combo decks are a staple of card games. They shouldn't be removed.
Then there should be counters other than having to play a boring aggro deck.
Combo decks don't have great win rates. They counter themselves.
on last brawl it was pretty similar, that card breaks the brawl... and I love it.

No, his point was that combo decks need a counter. My point was that they are not way ahead of other decks, so clearly they don't. If a counter existed, it either wouldn't need to be run (because they weren't threats) or, if it was, would demolish them to the point that they were unplayable.
I think its temporary, people expect an evenlock or control when they see a warlock, not a zoo, so they will mulligan badly against a zoo variant, however the moment the deck becomes popular people will become aware of its weaknesses and it will fall from grace. The deck isn't anything particularly powerful.
Heal Zoolock seems to be the in thing. I believe someone on the asia server got #1 Legend with it, and it was posted somewhere, and then took off.
It seems to be a very highroll type of Zoo deck, but can get 8 damage on the board on turn 3, so it works, sometimes
Druid is super unfun to play against. I blitz them down and win or the game gets past turn 7 and they have 45 armor and ten-million taunt minions. I mostly hate them because I've never opened a single powerful epic or legendary druid card in a pack. No UI, no DK, nothing. I've got Duskfallen Aviana though, don't worry!
I am playing this and I have a positive win rate against Taunt Druid. I die a lot against the most aggressive Aggro but murder all the control decks (Big Mage, Controlock, Taunt Druid)

I've run a similar list and found Thalnos and Hoarders to be too much of a bad draw on Shadow Essence to justify their inclusion. Do you not feel that way? I used Malygos and Lyra instead. It's somewhat weak to Paladin and auto loses to Rogue, but pretty much destroys everything else.
Anyone US want to do challenge a friend within the next 30 minutes or so? Drop your battle tag here if yes. I'll go with the first person.
I hate how all the cards I need to make certain decks (Recruit Hunter, Taunt Druid, Quests and even Meme decks ) are all spread throughout different expansions :T

Impressive performance. Glad we got to see him go a full 5 rounds and seen some of his wrestling/grappling. He doesn't seem to have a lot of stopping power which is surprising since his first 12 fights were by finish. The kid is 28 and has already had 80+ kickboxing bouts and 14-0 in MMA. Would love to see how he grows. Middleweight needs fresh blood as guys like Jacare, Rockhold and Romero are on their way out.
It's probably best to save the gold for next expansion. It's only a month away.
The announcement on Thursday has nothing to do with the new expansion. That just seems like sloppy marketing.

The game feels very stale right now, as evidenced by how slow this thread is moving now, so that expansion can't come soon enough.
We should get the teaser very soon and the actual expansion in mid August. It's better to save gold right now in order to buy new exp packs when it's out.
Game isn't stale. It's one of the best metas we've ever had. This thread typically is slow this far after an expansion release and before the next expansion starts getting spoiled.
Meta is pretty good, I'm just mostly bored with the game in general. Been playing a lot of MTG Arena and Slay the Spire to get my card game fix. I'm sure I'll check out whatever HS does next but I'm not hyped for anything like I have been in the past. If nothing else I'm happy the constructed meta allows for several different decks that I can easlea clear quests with while ranking up during my lunch break haha.
I'm excited for the next set because of how well this one turned out. I'm hopeful for some solid counterplay tools to decks like taunt druid and shudderwock. Hopefully not as bad as dirty rat and geist are. I want to see some class specific counters. For example, a paladin card that counters shudderwock can maybe bring control paladin into the meta.
