That's pretty good. I watched a couple of episodes and enjoyed them but had to stop for a bit and forgot about it, need to go back to it.
How spoilerly is this one? thought the first trailer was too much.
It's so obnoxious like who hasn't seen these on social media already. You don't have to watch it.Some of y'all are just now seeing trailers optimized to be eye catching on social media timelines for the first time and it really shows.
It's an advertisement not a 10 minute videoAre people really that lazy or dumb that they can't just turn over the phone or internet pad?
...You can't turn an Instagram post? Are people really that lazy or dumb that they can't just turn over the phone or internet pad?
Listen, not every movie is good as Scott Pilgrim :
I dont know, i dont have instagramWh...what? It's a social media ad of course it's formatted differently? I don't get anything that's going on with you people?
...You can't turn an Instagram post?
Right? This thread is full of boomers. Like honestly half the comments are 100% this post (whether or not this comment was being facetious):1:1 is the correct format for Instagram because it fills up the whole screen in app...? And someone ripped it and put it on their YouTube channel?
The text is correct for a sound-off environment, which Instagram is by default. I don't know what the issue is here.

That's not the point though. It's not meant for long term engagement, like subtitles on a movie or show.Small titles work fine on mobile? My mother with poor eyesight can watch seasons of seasons of Korean shows on her mobile phone and your telling me regular sized subtitles are an issue on mobiles now?
Christopher Nolan explains why this kind of trailer will destroy the soul of cinema:
The Lighthouse is filmed in 1.19:1 and it is an incredible film.id watch a square film if they used the frame in an interesting way
dont think a movie like that would ever be popular though
huh dunno how i forgot that, seeing how i watched and dug it a lotThe Lighthouse is filmed in 1.19:1 and it is an incredible film.
Unfortunately it wasn't popular B.O. wise like you mentioned.
The only example I know of a 1:1 aspect ratio movie is Xavier Dolan's Mommy from a few years back. I haven't seen it though.id watch a square film if they used the frame in an interesting way

Mommy is 1:1, and it's a great film. The stretch shot is amazing. You need to see it.id watch a square film if they used the frame in an interesting way

Plenty of great modern movies with narrower ratios though. Fish Tank, Meek's Cutoff, Ida.
ill definitely check it outMommy is 1:1, and it's a great film. The stretch shot is amazing. You need to see it.
Xavier Dolan had a go at Netflix for screwing up the aspect ratio.
This thing is going to do big numbers, isn't it.
We've been so starved for big, dumb fun at the movies. Even at home on a smaller screen it'll be refreshing to see two giant palookas just wailing on each other.

It just needs to not be boring. There was a lot of time in KOTM where I was just boredA pattern that shows up recently is that any action film available freely on a streaming service does quite well, regardless of quality.
Which is not me making a quality judgement in the film but just saying its gonna do far better than KOTM one way or another.
