The description says PS4 first, so I guess same deal as Cold Steel.
Oh for fuck's sake
The description says PS4 first, so I guess same deal as Cold Steel.
not really. just pointing out weird business decisions. thankfully NISA is there to make it right. The constant attacks at Falcom for putting their games only on PS4 (by feigning a weirdly aggressive concern for Falcoms finances), while being totally fine with Switch exclusives, have always been console warring.
beautiful
So is the whole cast except Adol in this one just anime girls? Like is there even a single non-waifu in the entire playable group this time around? That key art edited into the OP looks like Adol and a harem and the obvious main villain.
Fortunately they've stepped up their game with the new Trails.I know that I shouldn't expect high production values from the studio, but come on now..
At least don't show that in a store page where you're supposed to sell your game on.
I played it on Vita and Switch. Liked the Switch port.
Kind of funny to see NIS always going all out on Switch but having to (I'm assuming) release their Falcom games later.
Wait, what? "Short Novel"?!
Lol grats if you correctly call it but what a weird thing to be preemptively annoyed by such a specific plot prediction. You'll have to forgive me, because that key art makes it look like Adol and a bunch of girls, and then the main villain (blonde guy). If blonde guy is playable, there's like a 95% chance he's going to turn traitor on the party before the end of the game based entirely on how he's drawn in every single piece of promotional art in this thread.
Yeah, I was expecting an answer from you.not really. just pointing out weird business decisions. thankfully NISA is there to make it right.

Do we know what will happen with the Switch version?Durante's studio is handling the PC port that means I'll be there day 0
I played through it on Switch, but it got blurry at times and the areas that were added in the PS4 version had framedrops.
i loved it. LOVED. i think it was technically half the frame rate though (at 30 fps vs 60).
PS4 pro Ys IX wasn't even able to keep 30 FPS locked. I don't know how Switch port can happen really.I'm in. I'd like to get the Switch port but I'm concerned that it'll run poorly since Ys VIII wasn't what I would call an impressive port from a technical standpoint (couldn't maintain 30 FPS and had general technical issues, mainly game freezes). Might just get the PS4 version to play on PS5.

It was still very playable though and I loved the game.
I hope Ys IX will be better.

*ding* *ding* *ding* glad more and more people are starting to see it. Really disgusting behavior.Yeah, I was expecting an answer from you.
There is a difference between 'pointing out business decisions' and accusing a developer as dumb in every single thread.
We got 2 patches in the JP version. Would love it to be even better in NA. It was still playable though.
Mush better than the Japanese one although it's missing the cool behind bars effect.
That didn't have anything to do with Falcom. The constant attacks at Falcom for putting their games only on PS4 (by feigning a weirdly aggressive concern for Falcoms finances), while being totally fine with Switch exclusives, have always been console warring.
Someone will fix Falcom's spaghetti coding, believe 🙏🏼PS4 pro Ys IX wasn't even able to keep 30 FPS locked. I don't know how Switch port can happen really.
Where are people deriving the notion that Switch is later 2021 than the PS4 version from?
Youtube trailer's description says PS4 first. So both Switch and PC are after.Where are people deriving the notion that Switch is later 2021 than the PS4 version from?

I see, bummer. At least it dispels the notion that Switch is holding back release dates XDYoutube trailer's description says PS4 first. So both Switch and PC are after.
The Switch versio is already announced so I guess they will find a way.PS4 pro Ys IX wasn't even able to keep 30 FPS locked. I don't know how Switch port can happen really.
Unless the localization team completely fixes the game, I doubt it. Ys VIII was 60fps on PS4, this is 30fps on PS4/PS4 pro. And running poorly at it.

That's why asked who is handling it.
If the PC Version is handled by Durante, maybe some of his magic will spill over to the Switch version.
