Used to love Yongea playthroughs and news segement. But it became quickly a channel spreading only negativity and toxicity. I still respect him, but i prefer guys like from Easy Allies.

KSI was my favourite Youtuber back in 2011/12. His Fifa 12 Videos were the Shit.

He did a 180 Turn when he left home and went to America to become the typical fuckboy. I stopped watching his Videos 2014, but man was he funny before that.

I wonder how many people still subscribed to ProJared just genuinely forgot they're subscribed to him.
I forgot if I ever did subbed to him, he rarely uploaded anyways and probably isnt gonna be doing it anytime soon so it doesnt really matter to me if i am or not. I actively unsubscribed from jontron tho with a broken heart

Doing racist things... is not racist?

I'm curious how you're rationalizing here.
I am afraid your curiosity won't ever be quenched, at least from me.
Calling someone the N-word absolutely makes you a racist. Why die on this hill?
I am not dying on this hill because I didn't even want to fight for this hill.

I apologise, let me be entitled to my own opinions (which is wrong from your logic/understanding), and I won't voice my opinion ever over this topic in this forum.

@Topic :
Kinda funny Games also, once Colin Moriarty left I just kinda drifted apart. He was harsh, and it was fun watching him even when he was wrong sometimes.

But moriarty is racist. There's a reason he isn't allowed to be posted here.

None, so far. I'm usually pretty picky about who I subscribe to and if I catch a whiff of awfulness of character, I don't subscribe.

I haven't subscribed to dunkey, because there's something about him that I just don't quite trust.

I am beginning to get a little wary of MetalJesus, but most of his crew seems solid. We'll see...

I never ever understood how PDP got to be popular. Even before all his scum was exposed, I remember thinking he was some guy that constantly screamed and squealed in high pitched tones and was generally beyond obnoxious.

Kinda the epitome of the worst parts of YouTube.

I still would watch CGR if he was back on YouTube - his jokes are like comfort food - you've had it a million times, but you're ready to enjoy it. Also, that guy reviews games no one else would, so props to him!

He did seem to lose enthusiasm after CGR Undertow went down, but recent things I've seen seem like he's perked back up a bit.
Matpat of game theory has gotten sorta stale but he has a really good video on how PDP got so popular, part of it has to do with how YouTube algorithms(use to) works and the video is some years ols but it has to do with PDP getting a fanbase in one place and then moving and growing that base

Also dropped him.

Feels like the quality of his review/impression keeps getting worse (especially if he relegates it to Delrith, ugh) and feels like there are more and more stuff that I didn't care (Trailer reaction, Movie review, etc). Then there is the Destiny 2 debacle you mentioned.

If OtherJoe made a channel tho, I'll gladly subscribe lol.

FatShady, trials youtuber/streamer. Used to love his videos, really detailed tutorials, and a great, positive attitude to the game. He was always a pretty unapologetic fanboy for the series, but his enthusiasm was endearing to watch.

The quality of his videos has absolutely tanked since he got more into streaming though. Now it's all 2-3 hour streams dumped onto youtube. His tutorials have suffered as well. Instead of being detailed and planned, they're done mid stream and on a whim, so he starts every tutorial joking with his twitch audience that "this is gonna be a terrible tutorial hahaha" and constantly disrupts what he's doing to "interact" with them some more. He's more popular than ever and I assume twitch makes more money for him than YouTube ever did, so that channel is just dead to me now.

Also Jim Sterling. I just... I got the message. And I don't want to downplay his reporting of industry issues, he does some good work, it was just a bit... Repetitive I guess. He goes for some real low hanging fruit, assumes the worst hypothetical and makes a video about it, etc. Plus the way he was always seeking out and playing the worst games he could find (although he was doing that a bit less by the time I stopped). It's a shame because I really like him when he's being creative.

Shouters. I hate people who shout and scream unnecessarily. I don't entertain that stuff any more.

Apparently it was unconnected so said Greg but.... yeah.
Well that's not true, he tweeted a badly timed joke on International Womens day: "Ah. Peace and quiet.#ADayWithoutAWoman ". The backlash from this lead to him leaving Kinda Funny. Joe Rogan even had him on for an interview on his podcast, which is how much this exploded even outside the gaming media.

I've never known Colin to be a racist. Even a quick google didn't show any results. Feel free to point me in the right direction.

Kinda funny... even after Colin left I followed them, but they lost me a couple of months back. Topics dont interest me anymore and their opinions on some games often dont match mine at all. Additionally the newer crew member just dont click with me - some of them feel like poor Greg copies. Easy Allies replaced Kinda Funny - I feel like they are more into it - more into games and what they are doing.

JonTron, because he's a damn Nazi.

PewDiePie, because he's a damn Nazi.

TotalBiscuit, because he was a damn bastard who helped validate a hate group in the games community.

YongYea, because all he ever does is summarize shit I can read for myself and drum up unnecessary vitriol in an already toxic community.

Jim Sterling, because for as much as I love his body and sex-positive tangents and discussions, his videos started to blend together with all the subject matter being covered (not entirely his fault; the games industry as a fucking mess). I had to unsub not out of dislike of the guy, but because I just needed a break from seeing the same stuff in my feed daily. "Shitty publisher releases unfinished game bloated with microtransactions" felt like a monthly, if not a weekly title of some of his videos.

Classic Game Room. Just seemed like the creator had lost interest in making cool content.

It's too bad because that was the only gaming YT channel/personality I followed and I really enjoyed their content last gen.

I often watch blind Let's Plays of games because I like hearing people react to games I really enjoyed. However, I'm seeing a trend of YouTubers that made videos like that go over to livestreaming their gaming sessions instead. The result is I'm getting the stream copy-pasted to YouTube some time after, with the now-streamer talking to the chat, welcoming people into the stream, reading comments out loud during cut scenes and generally being much less attentive to the game. I've quite quite a few channels because of this, as it changes the dynamic completely and to something I don't want.

Classic Game Room. I really liked the offbeat, relaxed style of his first videos after the comeback: showing his dog, filming himself going to buy stuff, doing subdued comparison between consoles.... Over the years he went towards a more hyper-energetic style, in which, as another mate here said, he had a slew of jokes (Vectrex, the 32x, Lord Karnage, etc.) that he repeated ad-nauseam.

In the last couple of years before him exiting YouTube he became very bitter and whiny. I understand where he was coming from, but it definitely rubbed old fans like me the wrong way, specially because sometimes it seemed like he was targeting us the viewers. When he went to Amazon I lost track.

Unsubbed from ProJared and RelaxAlax for being pieces of crap as persons. YongYea was unbearably annooying and mostly shat on everything to get views without being constructive. Jim Sterling was a screatched record on loop.
Also, from YandereDev for being a shitty developer with a "star citizen feature creep syndrome".
What did RelaxAlax do? I'm not a superfan but I enjoyed his presentation.

Came to post this. I came for the game reviews (some of which were very funny, Yakuza Zero being my favourite) but not only did the same jokes drag but he pumps out so many videos not about gaming (the trip to medieval times was a great example of how uninteresting he is without a script and props) that I wasn't really interested when a gaming vid came up.

Also dropped Jim Sterling, son, because his ivory tower shtick was getting pretty tired, and most of his videos could be at least half the length and cover the same points.

on the plus side, Girlfriend Reviews has been a breath of fresh air! watching mostly them, for now.

I unsubscribed from Jesse Cox because he never finished that dang Dragon Age playthrough. I jest, but I fell of his content, he just didn't play games anymore that I enjoyed him play, which were story heavy action experiences where he completely immersed himself.
He is struggling with YouTube monetization and exploring other revenue avenues (I think his Patreon does well), I think that's why he isn't trying to hard to push his channel anymore.
I hear he's doing a hentai video podcast now, the original plan was to put it out on PornHub, but they had technical issues.

I unsubscribed from Game Grumps hard when the stupid Power Hour thing became THE thing for the channel. Funnily enough, I am considering resubscribing now that they are finally playing games again instead of putting a shitty Sonic Spinoff on and reading furry fanfic over it.

On the note of a channel or network I SHOULD drop: I am a big Yogscast fan, which is problematic, since a lot of them are idiots (if you're using a nice word) and very exploitative of their fan base (in a lot of really bad ways), and you can absolutely see their mental health deteriorate with the amount of streaming they do now (at least that's how I explain to myself how Lewis became such a misogynistic Brexiter) - what I'm saying is, I should probably unsubscribe from them, but in a very lowly, watching-lions-eat-christians-kind-of-way I am still entertained by their content, even though I really, really shouldn't be. I might be attached to them because there's not a lot of European Let's Players I enjoy. You don't get those cheeky Nando's references on other channels! Also I choose to believe that Tom and Sips are actually cool dudes. And their charity stream is the best thing about December, right next to eating a shit ton of chocolate for Christmas.
I wonder if I'll ever be able to give them the boot they deserve, but I feel I'm in too deep at this point.

Uhh, I think this should be a short list.

Game Grumps - I was really into them at the beginning. Liked the banter and commentary between Arin and Jon. I started phasing out after Jon left. Liked Danny's early stuff especially the Sierra series on Steam Train. He's definitely a really nice dude and it really showed how much Arin was really an asshole by comparison. Once they went more business like I dipped. It was really becoming stale, their extra shows were boring. The fandom made it even worse. I really only follow Danny on Insta since he's a really wholesome and positive guy. NSP is cool, but ever since he joined GG, Arin and friends are literally in every video which is really unnecessary and just feels like it's attached to the GG brand instead of Dan and Brian's thing. Also Star Bomb is just all sorts of bad.

GameXplain - I'm still subbed but I rarely click on their videos anymore. They make a lot of unnecessary uploads like individual segments of Nintendo Directs and re-uploads of other people's work only to add a few 20 to 30 seconds of commentary or extra video to make it their own. They tend to post a lot of videos that are less than two minutes to report on a very small snippets of news when they should really wait and compile it into a lengthier weekly report. They're also one of those channels that post Final Boss game play videos and Ending cutscenes to games that don't come out for another day or so. It's really annoying especially when they'll show a small bit of spoilers via the thumbnail. I've heard that they were pretty good at reporting actual news before they were legitimatized within the industry.

Etika - Started watching him around the Sm4sh announcement. Liked his energy, his overly visual excitement was humorous at best. Could definitely feel his passion for the series and Nintendo in general. Stuck around afterwards for his general live streams. They were usually pretty chill and I would just have it playing in the background while I worked on other things. I unsubbed around the time he broke up with his girlfriend and moved into a new place. It was evident things weren't right and were about to get worse. At this point, it's obvious the expectation to constantly be entertaining has taken a toll on him. I feel that more people should unsub and give him incentive to take a break, that guy really needs to live his life out of the spot light.

Inside-Gaming/Funhaus - Started watching near the end of Machinima's lifespan. Mostly for news purposely. Thought they were pretty entertaining. Then they left to go Rooster Teeth (who I really don't care for either) where they had to pretty much pump out more random videos since they were now an entire channel instead of just a segment. It really exposed their personalities and I really didn't like them or find them interesting on their own. It just felt like watching a group of friends just hanging out and at that point I'd rather just do that myself. Also they stopped reporting on news and it took them awhile to get on the Know, and even then they weren't on much.

This wasn't a short list, but I didn't expect to write so much. I'm sure there's more but it's 4:39 AM and I can barely think at the moment, haha.

Cinemassacre: Only ever really liked AVGN and don't need to be subscribed to take note of new episodes as they are everywhere
Easy Allies: I really like them but too much and too long content that clutters my timeline which I don't have time to watch anyway. Still listen to the podcast every week
Kinda Funny Games: Subscribed and never watched anything... I think I might like them but as before too much content with not enough time

Wait what!?! What's the story here?
Yo, what?! I'm not subscribed to him as I find he's a tad too up his own arse but I've enjoyed a few of his rumination analysis videos in the past. What's the paedophile thing all about?
Quoting my own post from an older thread:
Here are the news from two different sources, from 2015:
https://fox4kc.com/2015/08/17/32-ye...rged-with-child-sex-crimes-in-johnson-county/

https://www.kmbc.com/article/georgi...back-in-kansas-awaiting-court-hearing/3700178

In 2017 he legally changed his name to Xagmus Xeale...
https://www.news-daily.com/classifi.../ad_e2b7adc0-1bcb-5aaf-af2b-63b8b1d81c71.html

...and became a happy customer to this company (scroll down for a while)
https://www.montereycompany.com/happy-customers/

Steven/Archengeia/Magus/Xagmus/The Lorerunner used to run a forum. Some users found out about his crimes back in 2015 and created a thread, asking him to clarify what happened. He never did. Instead he shut down the forum altogether, but not before his victim's parents, using the handle EphemeralLuna, told their story here, from page 1 onwards. He also blocks anyone who asks him about it on Twitter and YouTube.
The weird part is that I found all this stuff after trying to google his political views, since I noticed he'd always avoid controversial subjects in his channel. I used to love his content.
Also, if you try googling his name and "mugshot" in the Images section, you'll get pictures from two different occasions.

JimSterling because the videos got repetitive (I mostly match his opinions, but having the same negativity in 7887236 videos on my feed is not super cool).
ACG because while his reviews are thorough, our perspectives don't match at all, besides he has a good voice but very monotone and I began to stop his videos and put others. When that happens..
SkillUp, because he is the typical gamergate /pol/ youtuber, even if he does it in the 2nd channel. Besides he (and other youtubers) are getting mixed in my brain because all of them chant about the end of the gaming world everytime something they don't like happens.

I was subscribed to people like ProJared before the news came out, but rarely watched them even then and JonTron's content was starting to lose me around the time his bigoted views came out. I think the one case where I dropped someone I was actively watching was RWhiteGoose/Apollo Legend when all the stuff around them came to light. I don't speedrun myself, but I enjoy watching GDQ runs and videos about speedruns (i.e. Summoning Salt's World Record Progression series or EZScape's videos) so it was super disappointing to see two content creators turn out to be... like that.

Edit: Completely forgot about Nick Robinson, was a big fan of his Polygon and solo content...

Yeah I've moved away from him too. One of the big reasons is his screaming, he'll be making a decent point and ruin it by screaming like a child. I think the dude is pushing 40 and hasn't grown at all. Yeah I know the angry shit is his schtick but how long can you act like a 12 year old?

I really hate screaming YouTubers, it's embarrassing for me and them.

Angry Joe and boogie2988.

Stopped following Joe because his reviews and other content just spiraled into a nonsensical quest to find outrage. When there was no outrage to be found, he made stuff up and lied (somebody else already posted about his Destiny 2 review nonsense). No amount of production value could hide the fact that he became a low brow shill and douche.

As for boogie, I was there when his channel started growing. There was a sincerity and honesty to his early content. But it seems that the more popular he became, the more fake and boring everything became. I wish him godspeed, but I personally avoid his content these days. He has also made some weird choices and allegiances in the recent past that I cannot abide.

Husky and Rosanna Pansino from nerdy nummies. They were part of the very old game station(Totalbiscuit, Jesse cox, Dodger, etc..). I stopped following them from youtube and social media all together after finding out they betrayed Dodger's friendship and bad mouthing to others. They had bad exchanges of tweets with jesse cox earlier this year which confirmed the bad blood between them and a few others throughout the years.

It might not concerned most people but it irked me the wrong way how once they get to youtube stardom, they(Ro and Husky) pushed aside their once-best friends.

Game Grumps, which makes me sad since I loved their videos for a long while but I just stopped enjoying their stuff, it got stale for me. One thing I did notice is that once they ran out of older games to play ( like NES/SNES) I also lost interest. I'm not a fan of their power hour stuff either, not my humor. They introduced me to Supermega so I thank them for that.

Projared - Yeah, what a mess.

Jontron - I unsubscribed when he had a drought of content, before I was made aware of his views.

There's a ton more channels that I've just forgotten about.
I grew up on gaming content, but now I rely on Twitter and Twitch for that. Only channels I actively watch are Somecallmejohnny, JohneAwesome, Dunkey, and Supermega. Forgot about Summoning Salt, his documentaries on games and their speedrun histories are great.

ProJared and JonTron for the obvious reasons.

I was subbed to MetalJesusRocks for a short while but it was like... dude there are only so many hidden gems, every other c tier game isn't a hidden gem. lmao

AlphaOmegaSin I dumped when he got on his political correctness and SJWs are ruining the world bullshit.

TheCompletionist I unsubbed when he started re-doing all the videos. Greg is/was a complete douche but it was their dynamic that I enjoyed and all the stupid jokes. Jirard is fantastic and a great human being, but the channel just isn't what I want anymore.

boogie2988 is boogie2988, centrist to a fault and I just couldn't stomach his both-sidesing everything. Eventually you gotta take a stand. His views OUTSIDE of his channel were even worse.

I haven't unsubbed but I have watched less of Cinemassacre because of Mike Matei refusing to condemn his past racist "humor". And to boot while he is good at playing hard games he can get really childish when he dies and it's just embarrassing to watch. Streaming hard games to a live audience is difficult and there's a lot of pressure, I get it, but I still don't enjoy watching someone scream at Ninja Gaiden. I pretty much only watch stuff with James or the other guys from Rental Reviews now.

ClassicGameRoom I just got tired of Mark's schtick. Nothing personal, just didn't enjoy it anymore after a point.

PewDiePie I got into early on but the schtick of screaming at horror games while talking weird got old. So I unsubbed pretty quick. And of course him being who he is now, or rather, all along didn't make me want to check back.

Not many come to mind. I mostly follow a bunch of British based youtubers who often seem to know each other and have never given me bad vibes. A long time ago I did stop following Total Biscuits co-optional podcast after they had Jontron as a guest. This was long before the worst of him came out but he still rubbed me the wrong way and put me off TB by association.

On a more minor note I'm probably going to drop Easy Allies because thier style just doesn't gel with me at all.

Kinda funny. They aren't very insightful when discussing games or news. They take pretty much any sponsorship deal that comes their way which i think hurts their credibility. They focus on whats "hot and hype" rather than interesting nitty gritty stuff. Its a shame because i really loved greg and colin during their time on podcast beyond. Especially with clements and goldfarb. But i feel like kinda funny never quite recaptured that chemistry.

Kinda Funny - The original crew was great, really bummed about the fallout between Colin and Greg, and I just didn't feel like the content that came after ever pulled me back in (despite giving it several tries over the years).

Jim Sterling - I can't deal with the negativity and anger schtick. Sometimes it's warranted and most of the time it's just exhausting.

Giant Bomb - Unsubbed as a premium member but it was really only because a) I needed to marathon Game of Thrones and had to pay for an HBO sub and b) don't have the time to consume their content right now. They're the first ones I'll re-sub to once I can.

Baixaki jogos because it stopped doing Livestream and most of it's host left the company.

JonTron because he basically stopped doing videos and the production value for so high that lost the charm (and the other stuff didn't helped)

To be honest, I rarely follow a channel anymore, because time became to short and I became a NEET.

GGGManlives - I can't remember the exact situation, but he was playing some mod that was meant to be super "unpolitically correct", and once he started complaining about the "SJWs" , that was a big red warning light. No idea if he's double down or what, but no felt the need to go back. Fingers crossed Civvie 11 doesn't show his ass, but dude does like making cheap boob jokes and Postal videos.

There was another guy, the channel I've since forgotten, who would just upload these hours long videos of him playing various old pc and strategy games. Dropped him once he started a Buldur's Gate LP which opened with a photo of a writer from Beamdog and him complaining about the terrible, agenda driven writing. That felt way too GG like for me.

On a similar, non-gaming note, Cinimawins rubbed me entirely the wrong way when his typically positive review of Solo went off track to complain about there being a "social justice droid". Blah.

Dropped Mayro. Lots of youtubers do April Fools videos which are weird takes on their normal content. I think it's dumb but don't mind. But Mayro did what felt like dozens all in one day all with the same predictable joke and it was clogging up my feed.

Dropped NathanielBandy. Seems like a nice person but every other video is "How Video Game X TRIGGERS you!!!!!" It's just a bad look. I still watch their videos but I don't want a bunch of "Were you TRIGGERED?" giant thumbnails showing up everytime I open up my subscription page.

Dropped Spawnwave. Nothing against him and I like his content and still watch it, but I just hate thumbnails where it's the guy from the video(not him specifically I mean any thumbnail where it's the person from the video). I just don't want to see a person in a thumbnail in most cases. And it's all of him looking kind of angry or pensive into the camera which makes it look too serious.

I guess the reason I drop channels is usually for too much content or not liking the thumbnails, or if the titles are some variation of "The problem with Y..." or "Z could be in trouble..." like if it sounds clickbaity.
