If there's any veracity to it, they're going to report on it. The idea that the entire media is all in cahoots for anything except clicks and money has been disproven with every single scandal for every single president. Sometimes it's a peanut farm or a tan suit and sometimes it's rape or murder. Both of those in fact, were reported on with regard to Clinton(s).
If nothing else, Fox will be all over it if they can back up the reporting with anything north of an interview. Unless this story is easily disproven, and I'm not sure how it could be, it will be major news. Even if they go with the "unsubstantiated allegations" and "we're just saying what they're sating route.
You're right that it's likely to be overshadowed though but it won't go away unless there's cause for it to go away. Fox doesn't give a shit about Trump allegations or balance, despite their old tagline.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the accuser yet (and I probably won't since I can't stomach stuff like this), but yeah, the media will have to vet this out. They have much higher standards for things like this and they aren't gonna just link to this story and say "Look what Joe did!." They look for contemporary witnesses and anything they can to back these types of accusations up.

Not fucking over women's rights by allowing more Republican Supreme Court appointments, not destroying minority and LGBT+ progress, not rolling back healthcare, and so on will still hang on which party holds the office. Not voting could jeopardize large portions of literally 50 years of progress.

Within a decade we are going to see a bipartisan effort to seriously nerf the internet. The elites were meant to be the sole gatekeepers of information and the internet is ruining the charade.
People don't get up and motivated to vote down ticket. They get motivated to vote for the top of the ticket and a lot of additional victories trickle down. Hell, a lot of voters just check the box next to the party of the President they came to support. They don't even know who they are. State reps, judges, and so on all benefit.
Suggesting people will wait in lines for hours and vote for senators and house reps seems and would be okay not voting for President seems kinda silly.

Trump wants Sanders, he knows he can ratchet up the "he's a commie who will tax you into oblivion" attacks and enough Americans will go with it, including a large chunk of moderate/centrist Dems.
I'm someone who values sticking to your principles, but in this case the larger good is justified. Because if you don't vote to defeat Trump, you will endanger countless women like the accuser, for generations to come. Along with minorities, the poor, and well, basically anyone who is not rich and white. And eventually them too because no one will escape the climate collapse.

Biden is at ~1100/1900 delegates.
Sanders is at ~850/1900.
There are almost 2000 delegates left to be assigned by states with later primaries.
It's entirely up to the remaining primary voters.
So we get to decide whether we want the racist, rapist candidate or just the rapist candidate. Cool. Great.
