This Mechwarrior 2 render probably had more polygons than the average in-game model today.
These don't look any where near as scary as I remember them being.
Ecstatica's werewolf and minotaur look way too cute for what they really did in the game
Saturn era Sonic and friends is the best that these characters have ever looked. I love low-poly characters models, and Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Metal Sonic look incredibleI love a lotta low-poly things but I think robots in particular look fantastic
Like this lil guy from Robo Pit
And Virtual On, of course.
Though that game's probably considered high poly as Saturn games go
and speaking of, low poly Sonic Jam Sonic is the best 3D Sonic
There's a mod that puts him in Sonic Lost World and it makes that game so much better automatically

The Tomorrow Children. It was a PS4 Online Exclusive (Very Death Strandy). The art direction in that game was fucking sublime.

Saw the thread up again.
Him and Banjo/Kazooie are mine. Vagrant Story is way up there too.
Yup.That bump was exactly what I expected!
Reminds me of the AI cars from Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga...
Which filter/shader did you use ? (or is it this just gif compression ?)
Yuuuuuuuup.Saw the thread up again.
Expecting this as the reason.
Not disappointed.
Hahahahahaaha from which game is this awesome beast?
I'm still flabbergasted that they never made a full game out of this. Such a wonderful 3d environment
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns

I noticed that it was a little dark, but what I'm talking about is the sort dithering filter. Is it native ? It looks really good.possibly the compression but it's recorded from real hardware. somehow the software update for the capture card the settings had reset and I guess the contrast and brightness was perhaps too low...
It's either FF13-2 or 13-3 (Lightning Returns).
