You deleted gaming as we know it congrats.
Anyone that doesn't think about this beyond "games" isn't really thinking about the question and just doing a snap call :Pso are we being selfish with these choices or are we taking account each companies' historical relevance? this is kinda key since without one of these companies, the console market we know today would not exist. i'd also have to switch from square to konami as well.
maybe gaming as we don't know it is better though
A timeline without the snes vs genesis would be pretty shit :Pmaybe gaming as we don't know it is better though
that's the alternate timeline gamble
higher chance of a SNES version of Dynamite Headdy though so it evens outA timeline without the snes vs genesis would be pretty shit :P
wellKonami gotta be the one cause they do nothing really now, didn't make consoles at any point
Great thread... Some of you guys are hilarious.
It comes down to Sega & Konami. Erasing Square Enix & Capcom would basically erase JRPG's & Fighting games as we know them, so nah. Sega was a console maker and erasing that would cause way too many ripple effects in gaming history along with a solid stable of output in recent years.
Konami gotta be the one cause they do nothing really now, didn't make consoles at any point, and since they do nothing now, the now will becomes history at some point and then at that point their catalog won't even be nostalgic for a bunch of people.
The fuck Konami brigade must have brainwashed everyone in to thinking they did nothing of worth, ever. Like they never existed before MGS.
Pretty much I'll miss sonic and Streets of rage 2 but I'm cool with Sega gone. Mind you I was a genesis boy growing up.
You just deleted fighting games as we know it from existance with this choice, you basically deleted an entire genreProbably Capcom for me, the only franchises of theirs I really love are Ace Attorney and Okami, and they're not even doing anything with the latter and haven't localized several of the former.

Deleting sega doesnt delete atlus, if sega never existed they don't buy atlusI'd choose Sega if Atlus weren't part of them.
Konami for me, only care for Castlevania.
