Free money and a deal you can exit at any time...? I can't imagine saying no to that, even if it's just for a month or two.
I assume the money stops when I want to watch something else? I could probably spend my usual watching-stuff time better elsewhere while also putting that money to good use. And when I'm done I'll have a pretty sizable backlog to catch up on. So sure.
I already watch anime and I can't do solely that for a mere $1K a month. I'll go insane.

lots of people seem to think this requires you to watch a certain amount of anime per week or something.
Videogames, books, comic books, podcasts, exercise ... you can still do lots of stuff even if you only watch one anime movie a week because you are bored.

I had pretty much every 4k disc at one point. The last six month or so I've eased off and a bunch of other labels have got into 4k UHD's so getting them all is looking like it will be more and more expensive. A lot of discs cost me $100 to import.
I don't watch entertainment videos much regardless so this is the easiest take $1000/m for doing what you're already doing. Even if I wanted to I don't even mind anime. I've been meaning to check out some movies.
The only caveats for me would be:
The kids - They like to watch other stuff. Sacrificing Bluey would be tough. Cocomelon and Disney songs and clips probably not so much. We still have songs or spotify or whatever. Kinda sucks though.
Social situations - A TV playing in a restaurant. A mate showing me some funny thing on tiktok/fb/whatever from their phone or sent via discord.

You should think of the prohibited videos as "everything but the exceptions". I just listed the types of video formats examples.
Yes. And as Platy mentioned, there is no minimum on how much anime you have to watch, as long as you avoid other videos.
This has literally no downside unless you already have enough money where 1000 dollars is a pittance, Like even if you hate anime you could just do this for a month and have a extra one thousand dollars at the end of the month to spend it on whatever bullshit you want. if someone made this bet to me for just one month i would take it easily.
Uh yeah for an extra $12k a year you could limit me to anything but pornography.
